Re. Jill/Katherine.

At first I disliked the fall out but now it's understandable. What more can they do? You can't just erase the fact that they were mother/daughter for a couple of years and formed a bond. Viewers want to see them back clawing each others eyes out, but what's the point, really? The fact that their not mother/daughter anymore should be satisfying enough, and I don't find the writing anymore insulting for either character than it was during the later Jack Smith days, and especially the LML days. These two characters are better off than they have been in years. As well, I'm thankful that they didn't rush them into the "okay, I have to find my REAL mother/daughter now." I like that Katherine seems to be over the feud, yet, I do admit Jill's tantrum is getting old. Plus, I'm sure they're trying not to go over Jess/Jeanne episode guarantees.

YES! Finally a spoiler I like

. So far no one has actually made Victor suffer yet. This will really upset him! I've been so ticked off as stupid Adam for messing with Ashley when he should have been targeting Victor directly. The first thing that boy should have done was

to Victor & Jack! Thank goodness

knows how to bring the hurt.

I believe that was me, but surely we were all thinking it!

Letting a man believe he's the father of your baby and then freaking out at him when he's trying to do good by you is much worse. Sharon is the ultimate martyr. Jack was good to that bitch. Too good. Yet, Sharon kept yearning for Nick. Jack never stood a chance. Yes, he lied to her. But even when he wasn't lying and being good to her, Sharon always had to remind him how much of an ass he is. I liked Sharon/Jack, but Case never sold it, so it was hard to commit to that couple.

I'm not even sure how many viewers care about seeing them claw each other's eyes out. I think they just want them to share the complicated dynamic they did for years. Instead, they've reduced them to old contrived yarns like Jill overhears at the wrong time, or Jill refuses to believe Katherine is actually ill. Their scenes are always about dragging out the same note as often as possible. It's like they don't even want to write for the characters together. They have this new life for Katherine, a new husband, while Jill is there for viewers to look down on.

I like her a lot too.

I hope they do. Soaps so rarely have full siblings. It won't make any difference to the recasting of Victoria. It either will or won't happen. I think they may give AH the opportunity to save face by taking an indefinite maternity leave and recasting.

I hope so. Even though I've liked aspects of their relationship this should be the straw that breaks the camels back. Jack did a lot of lying to Sharon, but he never F*cked her sibling or let her think she had a baby she desperately wanted when she didn't. In my book, that's one of the worst things you could do to a person, and in this case, it doesn't even make sense that Sharon would go down this ridiculous road.

The age difference is a problem with Sharon & Jack because she's such a needy child and he's so controlling, so it comes off as ick. I have zero problems with a couple with an age difference as long as both characters are on the same wavelength. Chloe's younger than Sharon but I would rather see her with Jack than Sharon. I could imagine Chloe & Jack having a level of honesty and respect that is not there between Sharon & Jack. This is another reason I hate this Quad. Nick, Sharon and Phyllis are all aimless immature Gen-eXers. They should be in the same romantic triangle. Jack is a boomer though, a Vietnam vet, a titan who has gone mano a mano with Victor Newman. He should either be with a woman who is his equal (Jill before her collapse) or a sharp sexy thing who adores him unconditionally (potentially Chloe or -- if they could act, Heather or Tyra). Men like Jack do not chase women like Sharon. No [!@#$%^&*] way. She gives him nothing intellectually and whatever she does him for him sexually, he can get somewhere else with a lot less trouble. A much more believable Quad would have Cane replacing Jack. Whatever fanbase Cane & Lily have surely cannot compare to the rabid fanbase that Sharon & Cane and/or Phyllis & Cane would create. If we're going to have a quad, do it right! Make all 4 possible permutations credible -- that is the key to making them all red hot.

    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
