You know, I kind of liked Daniel's shirt today... it made him look like a submissive twinkie... just the kind I LIKE. I'll admit, the hard nipples poking through his shirt were distracting, but in a good way. I'm LOVING Goddard with this longer hair, it keeps his head from looking so frekaishly large. And BOY was he good today. H'es SO VERY GOOD at "Deer in the headlights" Lily needed to be MORE upset, once again Kahlil falls flat on her face.

Focusing on the EPISODE: Ah-freaking-mazing!

For all the obvious reasons (Victor-Nikki-Michael, the Chancellor set).

Smaller things I have been loving:

MURPHY'S TRAILER! Awesome! Where is Billy going to park it?

Yesterday, I loved loved loved loved that [ a ] Murphy complained about Tofu burgers, [ b ] he called Esther a "good egg", and [ c ] he excused himself to SCRAPE THE GRILL!!:lol::lol: Can we have a daily dose of Murph, please??

It's so nice to see the Victor-Nikki tenderness. I am delighted that Braeden has dialed back on the hostility. And unlike his 'my sweetheart' Ashley scenes, these scenes seemed to have some genuine affection.

Superficial: I wish Bierdz had not been open about those chin implants. I notice them. It makes his eyes seem deep-sunk. That said, I cannot wait to learn more about the fact that the accident, and all that followed, were manufactured. I would not have guessed.

Can I guess...from the events on screen and the previews...and Billy and Mac's consummation will REMAIN thwarted? Argggggggggggh!

You know what? I liked Khalil today. She retained her Lily-ness, but in that context, I found her reaction to be realistic and appropriately p!ssed. KSJ gets props from me too...hardly any dialogue, but he played his character's transformation his face brilliantly.

Glad to see, from the previews, that this time Billy gets to sucker-punch!

Sadly, Michael has become nothing more than a modern day John Silva under MAB. The only focus on his personal/family life is his occassional mentions of his wife and son.

I did enjoy the Nikki and Victor scenes. They were my favorite couple for years and no matter what happens with them, I am glad we seem to be beyond Victor's constant looks of disdain. EB and MTS have such wonderful chemistry. I wonder if this custody situation will come into play.

Go back and watch it rhythm. Seriously...I'm not questioning your evaluation, but I think there was more to her today. I'm not a fan of CK-Lily lately, but she did better than that, I think. True, she wasn't weeping...but she's still in the "first dawn of outrage" stage. It works, IMO.

Missed the show. Will watch it later online.

I just had to comment on Y&R's wardrobe dept, which truly sucks. They especially cannot dress curvy women. I think Y&R should fire them, and just let the cast dress themselves LoL.

They have done a good job of acknowledging other absences. For example, Victor told Ashley to stay away on the phone.

Why could they not have done the same with Victoria and JT. Like "You're still recovering from your head injury, so you need to stay away from this stress", or "Your immune function could still be compromised from that coma, so stay out of the dirty hospital", or "We want someone at the Newman ranch to serve as the conduit and coordination point for information" or "I need you to run some important business meetings for me in my absence".

SOMEthing.

This episode was just incredible, as was the whole week, except for Wednesday as brimike said earlier. It was a pretty solid episode from beginning to previews.

Bierdz was a fine man. Those chin implants are just wrong on him. He was so swoon-worthy back in the day.

It was so gratifying to see that punch. Billy should do so repeatedly. And I like how Billy and Mac's sexual escapade will be thwarted yet again. They should never have sex. Haha haHa!!

We'll have to disagree with CK Lily's performance. Delia could've done better.

    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.

Newsom is a craven opportunist, but his comments today were exactly how better people need to handle Trump.
