Tom's possible redemption (when he always made it clear to Sheila that no one be hurt) is being sacraficed for Sheila's redemption (someone who has tried numerous times to kill Lauren). This has to be the most pathetic spoiler, and the storyline about Sheila and Lauren working together to kill Tom will only create a shock of about 10 seconds when it's back to dull again. If TPTB weren't so focused on destroying the show, they'd see that it would have more lasting effects and storyline potential if Tom saved Lauren from Sheila.
