You can trivialize MJ as just a psycho but they've shown how disturbed and pained she is. Her past is well-known to us on this board. She's completely sympathetic which is why she's so universally popular caus epeople feel for her and what she's been through.

I don't feel for her at all anymore. Especially knowing that she had a nice exit and made peace with Jack before she left town. To me, this is re-writing history. Stacey Haiduk is providing most of the emotion I feel for Patty Jane, not the writing.

Jill's storyline is being played for laughs, I guess TPTB consider it comedic relief. I personally think Jill deserves better and she's being misused.
