DAYS: Discussion for the month of June

I haven't watched in a week or two, but Will seems to be getting a lot more comfortable.

Cat - Nicole lost her baby and faked the rest of her pregnancy. She delivered Mia's baby at Mia's appartment the same night that Sami had her baby at the clinic. When she took Mia's baby to the clinic she then decided that she wanted EJ to raise his own baby so she convinced Dr Baker to let her switch the babies. Nicole and EJ have EJ and Sami's baby and Sami has Mia's baby but she thinks it's hers and EJ's.

I haven't see today's show yet. Do we find out how Stefano knows? Or did he just figure it out by watching Nicole? That seems like an awful lot to just know by watching Nicole watch Sami and EJ. Now I'm getting confused.

I'm not going to like this at all. That little baby is absolutely adorable and I just can't watch this without blubbering. So sad. Not to mention, I actually like Nicole and don't want to see what is about to happen to her.

Nicole lost her baby and decided to fake the rest of her prego. She met Mia who wanted to give her baby up and decided to adopt Mia's baby. Sami got prego by EJ then saw the mayor get killed and was put in witness protection. Before she left Lucas knew she was prego. He knew it was EJ's and told Chloe so she would be ok and not think it was his. Nicole was telling Chloe Sami will get Lucas back being prego and Chloe told her that EJ was the father. Then Sami went into labor, as did Mia. Nicole was there and Sami was unaware Nicole was there. Dr Baker gave Nicole Mia's baby but she demanded he switch it with Sami's.

So everyone thinks the baby Nicole ahs is hers and EJ's but its really Sami & Ej's. The baby Sami has/had is actually Mia's. And thats why Nicole is so against Mia dating Will.

Can someone fix the bright ass lighting on this show? It makes everything looked washed out and it's not flattering on the actors.

I honestly dont see it.

Perhaps because i watch on a HGTV? But i would think that would make it worse.

I loved the mia/nicole scene at the end. Mia is the only person Nicole can become human around since Mia knows a lot and Nicole can open up to her. Scenes like that keep her from becoming one note. But damn, i would have liked Nicole to play a beat of emotion about Mia's baby dying and her not even getting to say goodbye... oh, nevermind. There it is, lol.

Oh man... i cant wait to see Ali play the fallout. She is gonna rock it.

Sami & Rafe

and Cat, you were so right about that love scenes. Steph & Philip got one today. Days is bringing the romance and love in the afternoon along with passion, secrets, lies, and drama. This is what i want from a soap. I sure am entertained for an hour each day.

Those scenes with Nicole and Stefano late in the week seemed like old school Stefano. I'm not sure if I'm just used to, due to past years, some of the characters being badly written or written only as plot devices and I have low expectations, but some of the stuff they've had with Stefano and Victor, and to some degree Maggie, I haven't seen them get such strong material in a long time. I was so impressed with those scenes where Victor upbraided Bo for the way Bo looks down on him.

Wow, what an emotional episode. My throat was dry throughout the entire episode. Major kudos to Alison, Arianne and Taylor Spreitler (Mia) for their wonderful perfomances today. Poor Mia holding baby Grace and not knowing it's really her baby and of course Nicole's crying her eyes out as she watches because she knows the truth.

Nicole: Mia, we really do have to go, okay. So if you just put the baby down and we'll go find Sami.

Mia: I can't do it, Nicole....I just can't do it.

Nicole: Does there have to be a why? You just feel connected to Sami's baby.

Mia: It's more than that, and I think you know it. You were there when I had my baby and like I told you giving her up without even holding her was so awful. So when I held Grace in my arms, I just never wanted let her go.

Mia: When I talked to her, she looked at me....lit was like she knew my voice.....there's a girl out there just like me.....who had a beautiful baby and gave her up and now she doesn't even know her baby might be dying.

Nicole (as Mia cries her arms): It's okay....it's okay......

Mia: I'm sorry.....

Nicole: It's okay, I feel like crying too.

Mia: I said some really terrible things about you.....but you really are a good person and you love my baby and you love Grace too.

Nicole: I do.

Mia: And even for Mrs. Brady, you feel bad for her don't you.

Nicole: Mia......I.......Oh God, I have to go. (Nicole is so guilt ridden, she leaves crying)

Nicole's in the chapel talking to God.

Nicole: So was that fun for you.....hearing Mia say how nice I was and then I cared about Sami. Look, I never ever thought anything like this would happened to her. I just wanted EJ to have his daughter.....and I know I didn't give a damn about Sami but she loves that baby so much....and it doesn't make a difference who the mother is or who the father is - she's just a little baby. Please don't do this to her. She hasn't done anything to anyone except fill people up with love. (Nicole starts bawling) I'm sorry!! I'm sorry!!! Punish me!! Please don't punish her!! Please let Gracie live.....please.....

When Nicole said "Gracie" my eyes started to fill up with tears, so I had to start blinking quickly so i wouldn't cry.

I wish this scene was a little bit longer because if it was, it would've been the perfect Emmy scene.

Sami: Okay..now you've done what you can....now it's Grace's turn. You said yourself she's a fighter...she's just like me and I'm not giving up and neither is my little girl. And if you've done everything you can, I think you should leave us alone now.

Daniel: I'll be outside.

Rafe: I'll be right back, okay.

Sami: Okay.

Sami started to sing to Grace.

Sami: Look at her, I think she's doing better......she's doing better, I really could tell.

Rafe: Sami, I just talked to Dr. Jonas --

Sami: No.

Rafe: What?

Sami: He doesn't know what he's talking about. Look at her -- he's wrong.

Rafe: Listen, Sami. Dr. Jonas thinks that we need to --

Sami: Prepare?

Rafe: Yes.

Sami: That is a code for giving up. I am not giving up on my little girl. I can't. And she's not giving up. Okay? She's not giving up and if you don't have any faith in us, get out. Just get out! (She starts crying) Mama's going to be here with you......you're going to be okay.

Roman: So do you want me to call your mom for you?

Sami: Actually, I already talked to her and I told her to stay with John and that she doesn't have to come back because Grace is going to get better...you could see her....she's sitting up...she's going to be okay......you know how babies are, dad.....she's..... (reality starts to set in).......Daddy, I'm so scared.......I'm so scared!

Roman: I know, sweetheart. Is there anything I can do?

Sami: You have to talk to Rafe for me please. I need him.

Rafe: I'm right here.

Sami mouths to Rafe "I'm sorry."

Roman: I think I'm going to go out and be with your Grandma.....and that little baby is very lucky to have the both of you. I love you so much.

Sami: Rafe, I'm so sorry for what I said before.

Rafe: No, it's okay.

Sami: You were just trying to tell me the truth weren't you. You were just trying to help me see that......that she's not......that she's not going to make it, is she?

Wow. What an episode.

TS was FANTASTIC. By far her best performance. Ari is also great, but i feel nothing but hate and disguest for Nicole. I kinda hope Sami kills the bitch when she finds out the truth.

JT actually acted for once instead of just reading lines.

Here's a tip: don't download and watch Monday's episode at work. Not only might your boss catch you, but you are going to cry all your makeup down the front of your blouse.

I can't add anymore to what Toups and JP said here. Except that Days is serious about getting Emmy consideration if this SL is anything to go by. I'm not one of those people who thought that Alison Sweeney was Daytime's most underrated actress. I thought she was pretty overrated, actually. Not after yesterday. It must be tough for a young mother such as her to have to sing a "goodbye" lullaby to a baby in the course of such a SL. Just thinking about the way she sang "heaven's little angel, mama's little love..." has got my waterworks re-started.

Arianne Zucker also did amazing in her scene in the chapel -- she almost had me feeling bad for Nicole. How is all this going to come out? And can Nicole ever be redeemed?

Sweeney has nailed this, hands down.

Ive never thought of her as underrated or overrated tho, i always thought she pretty perfectly rated. Shes a good actress who plays her role to perfection. A lot of hype comes from people who love ALi the person. LOL. But she was flawless. She twittered that it was the hardest week to film in her time at Days.

As for Nicole... humm... i think they can and i think i know how they will do it. But ill have to wait to friday to share, lol.

Oh man, this has been a heartbreaking week.

Alison has just been perfect. She really broke my heart when she was flipping through the baby book and got to the blank pages.

And man, today when she told EJ "She was ours" ... heartbreaking. Ejami I really love it when he calls her "Samantha, darling"

and it was cute how he thought she just kinda went crazy when she said he was the father. And i loved it when he said his daughter was at home sleeping and she, in her bitch tone said, "Im NOT talking about her".

Galen G. has also been fantastic. Who knew he could be so good? LOL at Nicole using the DiMera name to help Rafe. AZ/GG have good chem.

I also loved the way Ali played Sami when EJ first realized Grace was his. Kind of cold, very shut off and unemotional. Damn near heartless and evil when she said "I had to" in a matter of fact tone.

also, this exchange was perfect-

E.J.: Why would you lie to me about something so important? Why wouldn't you tell me the truth about grace, my... my daughter?

Sami: Because you're a dimera.

E.J.: Because of my name?

Sami: You may not like hearing the truth, E.J., But give me a break. Your family represents everything that is evil. Your father had the mayor murdered. I went into witness protection. I had to hide from my kids, be away from them because of him -- because he was gonna let that killer that he hired come after me... while I pregnant with your child. And you have the nerve to ask me why I didn't tell you? And then I come back to salem, and two weeks later, you're, what, planning your wedding while you're planning philip's murder? You didn't even succeed, so then you try again. And you ask me why I didn't want her to be a part of that -- all those threats that you made to take johnny away from me? You become more and more like your father every day. And you're gonna stand there and ask me why I didn't want my little -- my little baby girl a part of a family as disgusting as that?

Darn it. I knew that work would get in the way of watchin' mah stories!

I have to catch up with Tues and weds epis but I've been pulling 12-hr shifts. This looks so good, though. I really want to see the Sami and EJ scene. Is this the end of Ejami? I also wanted to see Rafe react to Grace's death because we haven't seen that so much yet. And he was attached to that little baby, too. She was his daughter in all but blood.

Ooooooooo, wonder if Nicole and Rafe will join forces to keep Ejami apart further down the road.

The end of EJami? NEVER! I dont care what anyone says, they are soap opera perfection... when done right. That said, i am loving Safe!

Nicole & Rafe teaming up? I could see it.

I know, i feel so bad for everyone except Nicole... I really cant wait to see Mia's reaction to the news that not only does Nicole not have her child, but that she was the child Mias grew close to and she has died. At least Mia got a goodbye scene with Grace.
