Thanks for your help.  Well, now the stairs look right, but the knee wall is on the wrong side.  And the double doors at the bottom of the stairs weren't part of the AW set.  Maybe they used parts of the old set without using it exactly as it was on OFD.  Thanks again for flipping the photo!!

Now, regarding the Chat GPT response -- thanks for sharing it, but I believe it is completely incorrect.  I don't remember a Parker family on The Doctors, and AW used the Matthews house from it's premiere in 1963, not beginning in the 1980s.  I'd be interested to know how in the world Chat GPT gathered this response.  LOL.  But again, thanks for sharing it.

And by the way, I suppose it is possible AW reused some sets from The Doctors in the 1980s, but not for the Matthews house.

AI gets so much soap info wrong!

My favorite: I asked it what role on what soap Susan Lucci's daughter played.

What I was going for was Liza, Gwen, Passions.

It replied "Liza is played by Jamie Luner on All My Children."

Completely wrong. But, it got it right that it was A Liza, it just gave me the wrong Liza.

I thanked it, told it what was correct & it told me it was too upset over the error & couldn't talk to me anymore & shut itself off.

Trust me to hurt AI's feelings, right? !!!

The Matthews living room set was used on AW from 1964-1986. The original core family of AW was pushed to the side in 1982. Liz Matthews hung around for another decade.  Josie was revealed as Russ Matthews daughter in 1989, the same year Russ' other daughter Olivia came to Bay City. David Bailey returned to the show as Russ for six months in 1989, but was soon written out. The writers missed a great opportunity to keep Russ around longer.  For long time AW viewers, the Matthews family back on the canvas would been treat. I think there could have been great conflict between Josie, the daughter who didn't have the privileged upbring that Olivia had. Also, Aunt Liz as the constant thorn in Josie's side that she grew up a Frame and poor.

I'm not sure why they set all that up and did little with it, beyond tension between Olivia and Josie. They were right to not try to go back with Russ/Sharlene, but they could have done something with him - maybe paired him with Donna when she split with Michael. I would have recast Russ rather than bringing back Bailey.

At least Liz had a few good scenes with Olivia over that run, but they never did anything to build a relationship with Josie.

Josie always should have been a more compelling character than she was - consistently flat writing and iffy casting.

I agree that role of Russ should have been played by another actor. I don’t think Bailey was the right fit in 1989. AW had changed so much from the last time Bailey played the part in 1981. Rod Arrants or Jerry Lanning could have  played Russ.

Jerry Lanning did sub for David Bailey in 1989, and he was the corrupt judge at the trial for Grant's murder (for which there were so many suspects I no longer remember who was actually on trial -- it must have been Paulina because I remember Tito in the judge's chambers) and I don't recall Lanning being more charismatic than Bailey. But then I liked Bailey well enough.

Speaking of false information, I came across a book that claimed the Matt/Donna relationship was a copy of the relationship in Northern Exposure. I don't remember much about that show, but this does not ring true in the slightest.

From another book where the author is upset with P&G's hypocrisy:

Some people just can't go with the joke!!!!

I was a huge fan of both shows & that is reidiculous!!!!  Not a thing at all.

BTW, a lot of hooey was written about soaps. So, as you look at these things, you might want to keep a shaker of salt handy.

Not just P&G almost all companies did this, do this. This is nothing new also.

I am not a p&G apologist but  this is meaningless drivel. If we want to indict them, let's focus on real problems. P&G had many.

    • Absolutely agree. Nicole's reaction to Ted, and Kat's reaction to Eva, will be interesting.
    • One tiny problem. Apparently she just inked a new deal. All it means, though, is that they will want to get some mileage out of her before they implement the DRW50 Master Plan. What do ya think? 6 months too short? 3 years def too long. A year and a half?

    • Ted has been icky and giving off bad guy vibe from the first moment I saw him. I have a sensor for that and it was beeping! So...don't put all the blame on Silkpress. The woman needs a good psychiatrist, true... but Leslie is just one of the skeletons in HIS closet. Ted is even a bigger monster, because he's hidden.  IT WAS A PERFECT REVEAL. Perfect, because in the beginning of the show... Dani was envying her sister's marriage... In these first few messy weeks... her own misery and life spiraling was contrasted to the picture-perfect marriage Nicole and Ted seemed to have. (on first glance). What happened now... is very very smart writing. THIS IS THE MOMENT THE MASKS ARE FALLING! The message it delivers to me is this. It says - no matter how things look... they are not what they seem. You can't judge a marriage by how it appears to be. Aaaand in the long run... maybe the messiest-looking people (Dani Dupree, I'm talking about you!) HAVE less issues and problems than the ones that seem to have it all. The ones with the MOST skeletons in the closets and the dirty pasts.   It was an AHA moment for the whole family and the viewers and a way forward for Dani and Nicole to bond even more and realize they are MORE alike than they are different. Now it will be quite a different dynamic, because Dani will have to SUPPORT someone and not be the one getting her wounds licked always. And also another lesson. Some men are dogs. Not all of them. But a lot of them are. The difference is... some can't be easily recognized. These creeps have put very impressive masks. The show is doing this perfectly. Beat by beat. Exploring classic soap opera themes and stories. Real-life characters and situations, that are relatable and make you think... Hmm... maybe I need to dig a little deeper next time I say "these people are perfect" or otherwise. Maybe I need to think MORE. That type of storytelling. It's not easy to do that.  Brava BTG.  B-R-A-V-A!
    • I speculate that Nicole will go through cycles of numbness/grief/rage.  At some point later on, regardless of DNA results (or faked results), whether there was a baby swap or not, I think Nicole will forgive Eva, and eventually love her someday.  Nicole will come to understand that Leslie gaslighted/manipulated Eva.  Nicole will be her loving self, although more guarded than before.   Just my thoughts.
    • Lol. That comment was just silly.  I feel like The Guiding Light started it when they made me love Roger Thorpe. Leslie is pussycat in comparison and there is a lot of story to go  for her and Eva.
