There is no extra money. DAYS fired Hall and Hogestyn to help compensate for the 40% budget cut that NBC stipulated when they renewed the show. And the ratings as they are now have absolutely no influence on the show's budget or license fee. The budget is what it is and the only entity the ratings benefit are NBC. If DAYS is somehow able to sustain these numbers and continue to trend up, perhaps the show will receive some more money if NBC offers it a renewal.

A 40% chunk taken out of anyone's budget is painful. I do wonder if others will follow. As much money as I assume D&D make it seems there would have to be other cuts made, too.

**wanders off wondering what I would do if I had to reduce my personal budget by 40%.**

Also, they can't change their ad prices until March (the next Sweeps period), so unless the demo's are still in the black by March, Days can't make any more money in ad revenue than they already were back in November.

Days has NO money hence the reason for the budget cuts. It is going to take them time to get back in the black. If only the show could be rid of DH and KC. I think GT and CW have been a positive influence on the show.

my next question is with the closing credits whho will get the "with" spot that Deidri Hall held and also Wayne Northrop held for many years...my money is on with Nadia Bjorn as Chloe Lane but should be James Moscollo as Stefano Dimera if he stays or even Susan Seaford Hayes and Julie Williams

I'm going to go with no one after Deidre leaves because it was probably part of her contract so unless someone makes it part of their contract I don't think there will be any WITH. Defintely not Susan Seaforth Hayes because she is not on contract with the show so her name only appears when she airs that week.

    • I picked a random episode from the beginning of November. Visually the show does look great. I was shocked to see quite the love scene between Claire and Holden. The LA bar set looks fantastic and there were EXTRAS! Still not a lot of characters featured in the episode. Liked some of the new music cues.
    • I saw the Lull scenes on X today. Why did they paint Lunacy into a corner? LY has been a gift to the show. Unless she's moving on, I don't get it. So Brad takes Luna out of the show and leaves us with Will, Electra, Remy and Deke for the younger set?

    • Even on mute, it looked all kinds of ewwwww to me.    That said...BILLY FLYNN though. MMMMmmm. I was not expecting all of that under those saggy clothes.
    • I feel like they finally noticed in the viewing and online opinion that Dani and Andre are where the lightning in the bottle is FINALLY, SORRY, ASHLEY and started to run with it.   That said...I do still worry because it's clear MVJ wants to play Dani/Bill since they were one of the main A stories...helped by Timon and Karla also having great chemistry.   I honestly think they were not counting on a full blown triangle where people are taking sides. Go 'head, Karla Mosley!!!
    • Like I said before, I was worried, but Jazmen really does have a thing for taking breakdown writers that are not my favorites and making lemonade out of lemons. I'm glad he's sticking around.   That said...I think today was the first time I found him having slang in his scripts jarring. Uh oh. lol.
    • Count me in on not wanting Bill/Dani to be end game. It takes two to tango, and I think that Dani wasn't this wounded bird in that marriage especially when it has been implied that she's been mentally unbalanced for sometime now (and I think that could be part of the reason Naomi is just damn angry all the time). Dani will break Andre's heart in the same way that Bill broke her heart.
    • I really hope the writers truly notice that Dani and Andre work and change plans. At the end of the day Bill was still a serial cheater and married his daughter’s best friend. Eva and Kat is my favorite rivalry on soaps.
    • You and me both. As it should be! Watching right now and just getting my life cuz their absence on my screen has been felt.
    • I would take her back as executive producer immediately (although, I do feel like Sally McDonald is doing well as co-executive producer). Josh Griffith as head writer is the most troublesome, but demos and ratings are solid, and that is what the suits look at for this soap, so unless a major slump happens, no changes will come. Plus, under Phelps, we did win Outstanding Drama Series twice (2014/2015) after a seven-year spell of not winning. But right now, I do believe where she is is right where she belongs, and I feel like she's happy being where she is.
