Former Sunset Beach Siren Is Now a Perfect 10

Dec 19, 2008 09:43 AM ET

Where in the world is Susan Ward?

The brunette beauty who launched her acting career playing plucky heroine Meg Cummings on the NBC sudser Sunset Beach has been somewhat MIA after enjoying a string of roles in such big-screen fare as Shallow Hal and The In Crowd, and the made-for-DVD Wild Things 2.

Well, Ward is hopefully on her way back to series television, having scored a role in the ABC Family drama pilot Perfect 10, says the Hollywood Reporter.

Set in the world of competitive gymnastics, Perfect 10 has Ward playing Chloe, a young mom (ouch) who must come to terms with the immense talent and surging maturity of her gymnast daughter.

She could have had a huge career in daytime after SuBe (she would have been a great Victoria Newman recast), but instead she turned her back on it and revealed her true colours in certain comments made about the show. Serves her right to now be playing the 'TV Mom' role.

I always thought she sucked and wondered who she f-ucked in order to get cast on SuBe. But then again, that show wasn't exactly known for its stellar "acting."

A-fuckin-men! She's still one of the hottest women to ever grace daytime though

I Agree, her acting was terrible, and her character was simply terrible.

I Dont know about stellar acting, if you look at the most stars on soaps, there isnt that much stellar performances, is it?!.

That's so funny. I was thinking Meg Bennett as well! Who's Meg Bennett?

And so ends the career of Susan Ward. Once you've played a 'Mom' you can't ever go back.

So true.

Meg Bennett is a daytime writer (wrote for 6 soaps, including HW on SuBe) and actress (2 soaps). She's currently married to Robert Guza Jr.

It's sad that some posters on this board can be soo trifle about a certain actress or actor. :(

she was totally miscast (hispanic playing a white woman from the midwest) but she was definetly better. I liked Meg for the short time she was in the role.

Sydney Penny is a White Woman she doesn't have even an ouce of Hispanic blood. She's in fact Hungarian ,Scotch-Irish , French , English and Cherokee.
