Thanks.

@Vee That Ingraham clip is complete cringe. Not only her, the sourest of any cable news host, going on about fun and funny, but Vance continuing to look like he's about to eat a live cat. I guess maybe someone very belatedly realized him being the "attack dog" (AKA raging [!@#$%^&*]) didn't drive up any negatives but his own.

I think the debate will be important for many reasons, and I'm not happy Harris' team relented to muting the mics because Trump's team is terrified of him getting owned by her a la Kavanaugh or Pence which is a moment the Harris campaign was definitely aiming for, and threatened to cancel if they weren't muted (over Trump's objections). If the mics are open during cross-talk (which Harris' team claims and ABC is denying, but I bet they are) that's good. I am excited for the debate but I think Kamala needs to bloody his nose. It's time to move to the next step and start breaking away even more.

At the same time, this article is good because the Harris team is almost certainly doing a headfake on some of this - trying to lower expectations and keep her the underdog to surprise people. That is how the game is played.

The enthusiasm polling is all over the place today so I don't really buy the Luntz, etc. narrative that Dem enthusiasm has gone anywhere. Most of that polling I've seen today still has Dems way up. Guys like Luntz and Silver are looking for an exit ramp from the last month-plus.

In other news, Silver has basically admitted his latest nonsense predictions are due to him unskewing all the polls by reducing all Dem polling by 2-5 points because of the lack of a convention bounce (which, again, was already baked in) and his assumption that Dems will trend downward towards November, which hasn't happened in awhile. He also admitted to adding Trafalgar and Rasmussen, both of which are laughing stocks. He's become what he used to mock.

Meanwhile:
