Yeah, I wanted to add too -- MG was much better than I thought. It's a thankless job, trying to play a role like that (on a soap opera nonetheless!). And he came dangerously close to getting cartoonish. But he somehow pulled it off, and made it believable. I'm interested to see how this character fleshes out as time goes on. I hope the whole thing isn't played for laughs.

The fact that Gross joined only makes me realize that my thought about backburning Gloria and Jeffrey won't come true. With the Jabot takeover and River's presence, I'm guessing we'll get even more Gloria.

If it's the same Gloria from the last few days, I'm all right with that. I've always said, I have NO problems with Glo, just with the way she usurped the show. (Which isn't Chapman's fault, by any means) But I feel like they've been playing her EXACTLY how they should be playing her lately.

Of course, I'm ignoring the whole "paying for the cream" issue, just because I'm convinced they'll only pull out that card when Chapman decides to quit. Becuase (Frankly) I'm sick of always complaining about that plot point. LOL!

Well, Chapman's talent was never in question. She a great actress and a good addition. I just hope the storyline will be good and it won't need 20/20 appearances a month. A good balance means everything.

I still wish they'd bring the skin cream killer thing to a climax, even if Gloria gets off. I'd would like that dangling plot to be resolved, you know?

It's also a huge reason why some fans will never like or forgive Gloria. It's also what led, intentionally or not, to the destruction of the Abbott family.

Gloria's gotten away with TOO MUCH to not pay for her crimes, talk about treating your audience like idiots...

Well, the writers want us to believe that she has been suffering. But she hasn't. A month of whining about losing her money (to Jeff and the charity) did nothing, and it eventually brought her back to where she was at the beginning of the story. Now she's on a revenge hunt against Jill. But I'm glad Jeff still has the cream.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of.

In a perfect world the storyline would go similar to this...... Glo/Jeff/Jack manage to takeover Jabot and Jill ends up looking like a fool... but then Jill somehow finds out about the cream scandal and turns the tables on Gloria...

But even that storyline includes A LOT of Gloria.

    • While I do love the chaotic energy that is Kat vs Lesile, it is a bit extra. Sheltered, virginal Kat who plays it safe from her man to her wardrobe understands that Leslie is dangerous, but she's out here showing up everywhere and anywhere that Lesile is to be found and actively going to places where she is alone? I mean Kat doesn't even act a little afraid or intimidated by Leslie. Meanwhile, big Ole Derek out here begging for his and Ashley's life to Jacob.  As for Dani, I didn't see it that way. Dani and Bill were together for 30 years and shared a family. I believe there was real love there at one point. Bill is still an ass and Dani is still crazy, but realizing she may lose him and her daughter's may lose their dad definitely struck a chord.
    • Funny I randomly saw Kami’s lengthy post about the 44th anniversary of the Walton’s finale last week pop up in my news feed on Facebook. A few inaccuracies to her post but overall it was pretty insightful and interesting to read.
    • Well, depending on rewrites...Jennifer Richards potentially slept with Brandon and Alan. It does feel like we're forgetting someone, but then again, maybe I'm confusing that with brothers, which would include a lot more.
    • Maybe it’s me, and the fact that RC isn’t at the helm, but since Cwikly and Ford have taken over I’ve noticed the show doing a lot of things differently directing wise, and since the storyline of John’s demise began, the show has been using different scores, and dare I say better ones than this time last year. It’s interesting and I wonder if the any of it is Noel Maxam’s influence before being promoted.
    • I think Nicole is about to figure out what's going on between Andre and Dani.
    • @Efulton thank you. I don't know how I missed it or didn't recall it.  I'll blame amnesia . Anyway @Errol Could the newer thread be merged to the existing? Thanks in advance.
    • I just finished watching and I have to admit, not once did I find myself wondering who wasn't there. Quick question for anyone who followed this better than I did: was it only Andrew who rescued Cat and John from Clyde, or was Shane involved too? The reactions during their scenes today felt a little off to me. I know it was meant to be vague, but I didn't find it strange that they already knew each other.
    • Yeah, financially, Luna is in better shape than Deacon and Sheila.   -- Scott Clifton must have decided to chew the scenery in every scene of this "Liam is Dying" storyline. Yikes.
    • If J.R. wasn't busy with Ewing Oil, he'd be a heckuva soap recapper. He was SO gleeful at recapping Jenna-Bobby-Pam when the trio and Mark encountered each other at the Oil Baron's Ball. That being said, Lucy, presumably Sue Ellen and maybe Ray should all know this story, or at least part of it. Lucy was definitely at Southfork during Jenna and Bobby's relationship, and I believe Sue Ellen was about to marry J.R. around the time Jenna jilted Bobby. (Ray might not have given a damn.)
