Members AddictedToSoaps
There was no previews for OLTL either. Therefore, ABC is cutting previews for all the shows.
Members Ryan
Good. I'm tired of them giving away key reveals in the previews. And now "some" fans can quit their bitching. I get sick of "Scrubs was in the previews, but they're not on today. it must have been cut from the show" or "I'm tired of X being in the previews. Why can't someone else be in it?" Yeah...annoying
Members MarkH
Didn't ABC START with the previews a few years ago? If yes, then maybe all the other shows will also follow suit and drop 'em. Then, if the magazines go out of business due to poor circulation....maybe, just maybe, we'll return to a simpler time with less advanced information. I am hopeful..... Members dragonflies
It's pointless, anyone who watches the shows on Soapnet, they give away what's going to happen in the next scene and in the following episode, and right onscreen, so you can't avoid it. Members Y&RWorldTurner
I guess this also means ABC is NOT making as much money off of their soaps as they'd like. Despite own their soaps, something CBS and NBC can't claim, the profits these soaps give to ABC must not substantial at all.
Members JamesF
Aside from on air promotional spots, previews aren't necessary. Recaps are. The networks know that people don't have time to watch 5 hours a week yet no regular viewer (of any show but Passions) wants to sit through hamfisted exposition. Well presented recaps are the perfect solution.
Members DavidEvanSmith
It seems this new format is encouraging viewers of one ABC soap to view the rest of the lineup, bringing the viewer from one soap to the next... but doesn't necessarily encourage the viewer to watch the same soap every day of the week. Members NYC123
Yeah. I also noticed the last ABC bumper of each show does not go "Stayed tune for the next....."

Members XxTaraXx
Tsk, tsk Ry. Be careful. What I wanna know is why did GH have to take the previews away as soon as JC started? Gah!!!!! I'm so addicted to MaxiMa already, that I think I broke out in a cold withdrawal sweat when I didn't see previews. I rewound my DVR to double check!
