How is it disrespectful? Characters get killed off all the time on soaps, with the actors being alive.
How? Hmm, let me see... It's very disrespectful to a person who's been with the show since day 1. Alice isn't just any other character, and Frances isn't just any other actress. If you don't get that and even have to question it, I feel sorry for you. jmo

Isn't is sad to notice that our three-oldest divas in daytime (Frances Reid, Helen Wagner and Eileen Herlie) have not appeared once since January? :(

Now its only two - Eileen Herlie appeared on AMC yesterday. B)

How? Hmm, let me see... It's very disrespectful to a person who's been with the show since day 1. Alice isn't just any other character, and Frances isn't just any other actress. If you don't get that and even have to question it, I feel sorry for you. jmo

I'm asuming this person is a fan coming in during the last few years when she's not been on much.

But yeah, killing Alice off quickly and firing Francis would be horrible. GH did it with Anna Lee, and it was such a disgrace. She counted on the contract for her health insurance, her son made this well known, and she'd been a staple of that show for decades, and a screen legend.
