Jawn had one of the funniest lines a while - when he talked about the "typical American family." Anyone have the quote? LOL

Looks like there's going to be hijinks in the House of Dimera and the House of Kiriakis.

Here is the line, Toups:

John: You mean like the average American family..brainwashed dad, gun-toting mom, married couple who hates each other, their mismatched set of twins, and an evil scientist butlet...hmmm i'll have to think about it.

Awesome line  .

The show has had a good week. How refreshing to see the show having fun in the midst of all the drama. I love all the humor. I will just agree with Kev's post because he said everything I wanted to say. Nicole is a breath of fresh air and the Dimera and Kiriakis mansion stuff is hilarious.

Loving the Ava story and all the little bits we keep finding out. Tamara is awesome.

Kevin Dobson is good as Mickey and he looks good with Suzanne. It was a bit awkward on Tuesday and he does look young but I don't mind that. It will just take an adjustment and Dobson is a fine actor. Just glad to have another Horton around and to not have to listen to anymore Mickey excuses.

Good week so far.

Toups i went to copy and past the quote but then saw that Phoenix beat me..that line was the funniest line i have heard in ages..Loved the mismatched set of twins part...Jawn rocks, and i'm really looking forward to Sami and EJ living in the Dimera mansion..Its a little contrived, but it will prevent them from being islanded from the rest of the cast..

The dialogue on this show is making me LOL.

Did anyone catch a Victor/Chloe quote from Wednesday?

Chloe: "I've seen the looks you've been shooting me all night."

Victor: "If only I had something else to shoot you with"

The way John Aniston delivered it under his breath really made it for me. Also, Nadia Bjorlin doesnt seem to be putting her all into the scenes, she just seems like she doesnt want to be there. Was I imagining she used to be better, or has she always been that bad?

Great show today and the end to an exciting week..My favorite scenes were between Ava/Hope and Chloe/Nicole..First off i loved Ava lying to "Hope" about making love to Patch..It was very entertaining watching Hope cry fake tears and tell Ava exactly what she wanted to hear..I love that Hope is not acting like the victim in this kidnapping, she's really putting on quite the show..But that said, i'm looking forward to this charade blowing up in Steve and Hope's faces...

Chloe and Nicole rocked today...and the food fight was hysterical...Nicole is just such an entertaining character and really brings out the best in her counterparts...Victor and Nicole scene at the beginning was funny as well, and the look on Victor's face when Chloe showed up was priceless...After the doom of gloom of the past few months, its nice having these funny moments..

Phillip vs. John was also great..Love these two and i'm looking forward to this story...so nice seeing Victor, Phillip, John and Marlena all interacting..My only complaint about the episode was that we got 2 flashbacks..

And finally, i'm glad that Kayla knows the truth about Ava..Until now Kayla has been dragging this story down..It was getting boring watching her be in the dark..Now i'm looking forward to Bo and Kayla trying to rescue their spouses..

about it I think Jan is a fine supporting part for a solid daytime vet (probably someone from the P&G soaps), as opposed to someone from the production location who is clearly cheaper. Which seems to govern some casting. I get the rationale, but I would start going through the ATWT/GL, etc. rolodex myself.
    • I dont mind Jan. She's good in the minor capacity she is used.
    • tbqh I don't care about Jan, I don't care about Ashley and I think Jon Lindstrom as Joey is an acquired taste. Jon is a great actor but certain things are in his zone and then some are not. Some days I find Joey credible and compelling, but the stuff with him hanging around the Golden Corral, grumbling about Doug and bitching at Randy is not amazing. If he had material on par with what MVJ wrote for Ryan/Kevin on GH back in the day it'd be a different story. I do think he has real chemistry with Vanessa, which is in large part due to MVJ clearly molding that character (and hiring an appropriate actor) in the Lucy Coe vein when she reinvented Lucy in the '90s as well. But I am not here to spend 6+ months watching Jon glower a lot (which is what he's doing half the time to carry weak story) and make more vague dire pronouncements while Jen Jacob gets flustered and weepy over "Daddy" or whatever would come of that storyline. Putting them together sounds like a recipe for doom to me. But I may be in the minority on that.
    • I know this will never happen. But... Halle Berry as Dani Dupree(BTG). She would rock this role, it's in her wheelhouse.
    • When I see how bad the Ashley/Derek scenes are, I know there must be a larger purpose and Joey being her father is the thing that makes the most sense.  My take on it is that Ashley knows Joey is her father but doesn't know Joey. Maybe he was there when she was a child or just not around at all but I believe Jan when she says she didn't lie to her daughter about who her father was. Maybe she left him when she discovered his dangerous lifestyle.  I do think they could really jump start the character of Ashley if they hurry and do this. Jan is a great character and her scenes with Ashley have been helpful. This would further integrate Ashley into the canvas and give her something dramatic to do. With her working at the hospital along with Doug, it could lead to complications if she learns Doug is involved with her father. I just need is sooner rather than later because Derek is tanking her character. I need a distraction.
