Santa Barbara Discussion Thread

I rediscovered Santa Barbara on YouTube during Covid and waded through a ton of poor quality videos with missing scenes and bad sound. It took me a while to find the amazing collections which tech-savvy kind souls have restored. No idea whether they are on this board, if you are, your work is much appreciated.

I'm currently going the Mark and Mary wedding episodes, really good storytelling and acting. Mary the nun is such a cliche character on paper, but both Harley's acting and the writing make her a really multi-faceted character. If they hadn't killed her off, I think there would have been a lot of great dramatic potential in her relationship with Mason.

I also like the interactions between Mason and Augusta. I could totally see these two characters pairing up romantically and scheming against CC and Lionel. Too bad the painting story was just a short-lived episode.
