It's interesting because Judith McConnell is the only reason I cared about the Sophia storyline/disguises when I rewatched it years ago. I thought she was fantastic and award worthy.  It was actually Sorel who I thought veered  a little bit towards overacting at times in the beginning of the show. 

They needed someone who could give a more complex portrayal of Sophia, including a wry sense of humor, in order for there to be much chemistry between Sophia and Lionel. And of course Richard Eden's portrayal of Brick - and even the name "Brick Wallace" - were quite bland, which staled the whole Lionel/Sophia story even more.

Robin Wright’s new miniseries, which she not only stars in but also directs, is such a hit on Prime Video! I binged the whole thing and honestly, I’m obsessed. It totally felt like a twisted and sick soap opera, LOL! ❤️ She’s also been everywhere lately, popping up on so many talk shows these past few weeks.

Robin is great in The Girlfriend.

These have been on Youtube for about seven months so any hardcore Lane Davies fans may already know of them, but if not, the creator of the short-lived FOX sitcom Woops! uploaded two unaired episodes (the others, minus one, are also all on his channel).

I hadn't seen this, thanks for sharing.

If I recall correctly Lane Davies said in interviews that he enjoyed doing sitcoms because it was a lot of money for relatively little effort. After watching these two episodes I can't help but think that his talent was really wasted. 

I liked sitcoms like Will and Grace, Seinfeld and Friends, but there was a lot of short-lived stuff on that had neither a good premise, nor good writing.

I think the one episode where he gets a lead is Curtis Unglued.

It's a shame it never worked out for him in sitcoms - I know he was on two or three, but as you said, many sitcoms are not well-made.

It's a shame that Witt-Thomas and/or Witt-Thomas-Harris couldn't make it work with Lane. I liked what I saw of him on Good & Evil and in his guest spot on The Golden Girls. I wonder if he was up for David Rasche's role on Nurses.

That was enjoyable! Although it's kind of funny in hindsight that you have these iconic longterm couples of Reva & Josh and Cliff & Nina...and then Gina & Scott are basically blink and you missed them. But I was still glad they were included!

Yeah, I know little of them. I always associate her with Keith in this period. They're a fun part of this though, especially Robin.
