Members maconrich
well maybe they'll end up putting Sami and Nicole together. They almost have as much chemistry as Sami and EJ and a ton more than Sami and what's its face
Members jayoster
If Corday does praise Dena in an interview it is well deserved! Im totally enjoying the show right now The only thing I dont get lately has nothing to do about the show itself but about alot of the comments being posted. I read some of these remarks and I dont get where they are coming from Dena may have been a hack during her last brief stint writing the show but that has nothing to do with the show that we have been watching recently which has been decent. Much better than any of the material Sheffer had going. Maybe she's obviously learned from her mistakes from the last time. And why do some of y'all get so nasty about Corday? What has he ever done thats been so terrible? It's his show what is he supposed to do sit back and have no say about anything ever? Yes the show has drifted a bit at times away from its original roots under his watch but so has every other soap on the air! At the very least he has managed to keep the majority of his cast in tact over the years for all of us. That should be appreciated every now and then. Members electrorat
I love Dena's work (Days stuff, never watched OLTL), so I have no problem with her being HW. As for Corday, I don't hate the man. I just think he's a liar and I do often wonder if he has ever actually watched Days. Regarding the Sami/Lucas/Nicole/Elvis stuff, it's pretty clear that they've realized that by the end of the summer it'll be Nicole with Elvis (I'm sure the cameramen will be jumping for joy to have someone who can stay in frame with JS lol) and Lumi will be back together. Members Noel
UPDATE Here are a few quotes about Higley and the upcoming stories: "She understands the history of the show and the female point of view and what the women out there want to see. That is a black and white as I can make it. She's a very facile, hard working head writer." As for the show he claims the changes in the show were necessary, "It is becoming more about the people who are the stars of the show and who we care about. Its not about things happening to our characters, its about our characters feelings for each other." Yeah right, so why does the article go on to say that Marlena will start to fall in love with this version of John Black and why does it say that Lucas had to pay for his crime when EJ gets away with his? As for the reason Mickey is coming back is so that EJ can become employed, to which I say, like that's ever mattered to anyone. Having Mickey be the one that hires him is an insult to his nephew. Here is the part of the article on that talks about MM and BB: ‘For Martha Madison, her last day was “a lot easier than I thought it was going to be,” she reflects. “We had a cake and I gave a speech. I took a page out of Farah’s playbook and I prerecorded my goodbye because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to get it out. I just sat there very uncomfortably while my voice played over [laughs]. Bidding farewell to her on-screen parents was tough. “I was much more emotional saying good-bye to Drake than I thought I would be. And then Deidre gave me a beautiful picture of us that has a little bubble outside of her head that says, ‘The daughter I always wished I had. I just lost it. She’s wonderful.” Madison headed to New York after the event. “This is my second trip to New York, hint, hint. I’m meeting with some of the shows out here. I’m hitting the regular, unemployed actor circuit-covering new bases, getting new pictures and hiring a new manager. We’re hitting the ground running.” She says she was overwhelmed by the petition that the fans created online. There’s almost 10,000 signatures. I can’t believe how many people have signed it; it’s awesome. The fans are really upset and confused about what happened. I couldn’t really offer a lot of help in that department, but you’ll see us again.” Co-star Brandon Beemer says the viewer support helped soften the blow of their exit. “a lot of them have told me they’ll follow me wherever I go and they’ll watch,” he marvels. “And how it’s the craziest thing they they’ve ever seen, to see us taken off the show and that they’re angry and they’re going to fight to get us back.” The actor didn’t deny rumors that OLTL was interested in him to play Joey, only saying, “I don’t have any immediate plans. I’m open to whatever, so we’ll just have to see what happens.”
Members Roman
Ok. Ken Corday can go F*** Off. She understands the history ofthe show?! No. She is bought and paid for, and will write any crap he sees fit. Lucas had to pay for what he did? But, E.J. not only doesn't go to jail for the multitude of crimes he did, he's now being invited my Mickey Horton, Lucas's uncle, to join his law firm. This man makes me sick. I wonder what he will say in 6 months or a year when she shitcans this show, it's close to being cancelled, and he once again doesn't take any responsibility for it? He'll blame her, and then go out and hire another hack to write Days. What an !@#$%^&*].

Members UKBoi
I'm still so pissed about Martha and Brandon's firings. Sure, I loves me some Tamara Braun and I'm happy that they're bringing back Ari Zuker, but as myself and many others have said in the past, ITS SHAWN AND F-ING BELLE!. Corday's pushed them on us for years and years and just when they're finally in a decent storyline AND in the hands of likeable, capable actors, in comes Higley with her sledgehammer and they're gone. I think we all know this was Higley's doing because no way would Corday be the one who suggests "Hey, I've been pushing this destiny couple for years and years but let's write them out for no apparent reason"...what makes it even worse is that they're losing the adorable actress who plays Claire as well. Though, something tells me that Martha and Brandon have been told they'll be back before the end of the year, there's something about their exit interviews and quotes that just dont seem final. Too true, Roman. I have Higley will start off well and will produce a pretty solid 3-4 months wrapping up Hogan's plotlines and doing good things with the pretty solid canvas that was left for her by the previous regime, but once she's left to her own devices, she WILL destroy the show and when the ratings hemorrhage she will be gone. I just dont get it, DAYS is one of the most (if not THE most) iconic soap operas on the air and yet it's been pretty much identity-less and directionless for years. It's funny how it's always the writers that are blamed...Langan, Higley, JER, Hogan, yet the one common denominator that is Ken Corday still gets off scot free when we all know the show would be a much better place without him and his constant plans to "save Days". How about they actually work on developing the characters and plotlines they have in an interesting way and stop pandering to fanbases at the expense of good plotlines? How about they stop chopping and changing ideas and directions at the drop of a hat. If they did that and spent less time working on the next 'Plan to Save DAYS' then the show would be in a LOT better shape.
