Criticizing OLTL and RC is not allowed.  Criticizing any other writer is just fine, but not RC. While I totally agree with you, the RC lovers over here, will overlook anything in his defense. That doesn't make the show any better, nor does it push TPTB to allow RC to live up to his potential, but it is a fact of life over here. The show is not going to be any better until Frank goes away.

It has nothing to do with criticizing RC. If you don't watch a show then you shouldn't say it sucks just because some people say it does. I don't watch Passions anymore, therefore I can't say the show sucks. If I did, then someone could (and should) call me out on not knowing what I'm talking about and/or thinking less of what I said b/c I don't watch.

OK, I watched the show pre-strike. That was when RC was writing. IMO, it sucked. It was boring and focused on too few characters and newbies. Now the conversations between characters were excellent. I think RC has a lot of potential and can be a good writer. Up to now, IMO, he has not been a good story teller. I look forward to that changing, but forgive me if I make my own judgement and don't blindly accept what is written over here. B)

I think my favorite part of today's show was the Viki/Jessica scenes at the Palace. It's about time that they started to rebuild that mother/daughter relationship. And it was nice to finally hear Viki talk about HER life, and how it was for her in Paris, TX. The scenes just made me smile.

Also, I enjoyed the Charlie/Dorian and Roxy stuff. I'd actually like it if it turned out to be that Rex was really Charlie's, especially if Charlie and Jared keep butting heads about their past.

Don't ask me why, but I am loving this hold that Adriana now has on Dorian, its very fun to watch Dorian jump when Adriana tells her to, but I think that what I'm looking forward to the most is that I know it will all blow up in her face.

It was very nice to have a day without the PD stuff and the Starr/Cole saga.

since when were Nora and Clint sleeping together?

I hate Adriana. She is by far my least favorite character and boy has she turned into quite the nasty bitch. She's almost as nasty as her mother whom she hates for it. I want Gigi to slap her in all their altercations

GREAT SHOW! Let's get ready to RUMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P

I think we can begin taking bets now because there is going to be a showdown between Gigi and Adriana! Those were some intense scenes and it continues on Wednesday. Gigi needs to bitch slap Adriana to bring some common sense into that girl! I do like bitchy Adriana though but she really needs a beat down!lol My bet is on Gigi, if she can handle a trucker, she can handle this.

I am also gonna place my bet for Nora and Lindsay, those were also great scenes. I smell another showdown soon! Although I do like Nora, my bet is on Lindsay!

Oh and l et us not forget Dorian and Viki. Once Viki finds out that Dorian was part of the reason Charlie was keeping the truth, it is on! My bet is on Viki!! lol

I loved today's show, well with the exception of the PD stuff, although I am very much intrigued by Ramsey and what he's hiding.

Always enjoy scenes with Viki and Natalie, and I loved the scenes with Viki/Charlie, it was a nice surprise, didn't expect to see them anymore this week. And I really hope once the lies are out that they are going to be able to find their way back to each other.

Jared and Natalie - Dayum, they are HOT! Can't wait til he comes clean, to bad he doesn't come clean about Charlie.

I always like watching Blair and Cris together, don't want them in some hot affair, I just enjoy the friendship that they have.

Boy is Nash going down a dark road.

The show was a little slow today but it was good and obvious build up for tomorrow's cliffhangers.

What the hell is up with Antonio??? I know he has been hurt in the past by Jessica but Talia did not deserve that, especially in front of everyone. I am gladd she slapped him. But was that slap a bad slap or bad acting? I dunno but that looked so fake.

I really enjoyed today's episode. So great to have Addie back! I definitely missed her. She was right on the mark too with her talk to Todd. So much wisdom in her words. Too bad Dorian wasn't around to see how well her sister really is!

The Buchanan cabin stuff looks like it's going to be really fun. Jared and Natalie are so HOTTT together, I swear! I imagine the temperature in that cabin going up a few dozen degrees by Monday. Nigel and Matthew provided some great comic relief today. Bo and Nora's trip up to the cabin was interesting as well.

Eh. I hate Starr. Such a little twit. I like Markko, mainly because with his job, he gets to interact with a lot of people that the others teens don't interact with. About a month or two ago, there was a scene between him and Roxy that I adored. I like the capacity they're using him in. Cole....take a bath, kid, you look like crap. Langston needs to slap Starr into shape big time. Get the eff over yourself, honey. The world does not turn around you. That's a *whole* other soap, sweetheart.

The police department drama...eh. John is so very cocky, Antonio is so very stupid, and Talia is so very not worth it.

I am thoroughly enjoying the Natalie/Jared scenes. Their scenes lately have been frustrating to me but this week things have really turned around. I wonder if their scenes have been tweaked by Ron C?

I hate to admit this, but I think I could get on board the Lindsay/Clint train  I keep forgetting at one time Lindsay and Clint were married.

Talia/Tonio/John, I just don't give a rat's ass . . . . <_<

    • One of the dumbest situations (Lando) ever. What audience member is going to invest in a storyline with a recast they don't like and a triangle where one character is short-term? It bombed as it should have done. So much of JFP's tenure just reeks of desperation. I don't get how someone could produce SB (which did have flaws but was often brilliant) but make so many terrible mistakes at GL.   I still think JFP would have worked better as a director and music supervisor. Her music work at SB was top notch.

    • We see the same with GH, where Mark Teschner, the casting director, reportedly has less say since Frank Valentini took over. Some producers want to take over every aspect of their shows.  I think Lando may have been a CBS push.
    • No idea but she won Emmys & she was the Casting Director at the same time for both ATWT & GL. She hired Lisa Brown with no job for her. Then Marland made Brown his muse so he created both Iva & Nola for her. But, I think we know that Jill does what Jill wants.
    • I did notice a decline in the quality of the performers being cast once Betty R vacated/retired from her position. We would have been spared from the nightmares of some of the castings that dominated the show in the last decade or so of the soap. JFP was an example of someone, no matter the gender, who had no business being in the position they were in.
    • If Betty Rea was the casting director, why was so much of GL during JFP's reign cast by her? Walker, Deas, Crampton, Lando, etc. JFP takes credit for Dusay as well. What is the point of having a casting director, if you don't let her do her job? What happened when Rea left?
    • So much on here slips my mind but this is the first I remember hearing of Peterson's passing. Very sad. Nell was a thankless role, clearly set up for a cheating storyline with Frank, but Peterson did her best.  Betty Rea Rea was the casting director for the soap opera “Guiding Light” from 1970 to 1996 and simultaneously the casting director for “As the World Turns” from 1979 to 1983.
    • Sorry, just one more post on the Thorntons. How did Ruth and Edna feel about each other prior to Tad dating Dotty?
    • I can't remember exactly but I think it may be 1995 as Jake was trying to hide from a loan shark.
