Members AmandainNC28655
Should OLTL go this route, and it is written correctly it might actually be decent. I work as a high school counselor and teen pregnancy is running rampant through our school systems today. I would like to see one of the daytime shows address this and the emotions and fears of not only the teens, but of their families too. They could even take it further by showing the teen couple making the decision to either keep the child or put the child up for adoption.
Members dragonflies
Very predictable, who didn't know they'd go this route once Cole and Starr had sex
Members sungrey
I think this is a fantastic story. It reminds me an awful lot of what OLTL used to be about. When Agnes Nixon wrote OLTL and AMC, social issues were the order of the day. Provided ABC doesn't hammer viewers over the head, it could work. And it's more realistic because Kristen Alderson's grown up on this show, a lot like Erin Torpey did.
Members Casey
I'm still undecided about what I would like to happen with this story but I think that it could be one of those social awareness stories that AMC and OLTL used to be famous for. I think OLTL could possibly do this some justice since Frons ignores the show (which is a good thing!) and he won't give his opinion on how the storyline should go. Members All My Shadows
Oh, I totally agree. Shame on ABC, OLTL, and the TPTB for deciding to go the realistic way with this story. Shame on them. Is it too much to ask for Todd to kill Cole so we can have another murder trial? Or is it too much to ask for Starr to love the idea of having sex and become an internet porn star? Or is it too much to ask for Starr to become obsessed with Cole and steal his frozen sperm? The NERVE of these people! WHO wants to watch the real, human drama that helped Agnes Nixon make a name for herself anymore?
