Members Jonathan
http://www.venturacountystar.com/news/2008...ack-even-after/ Came across this article that was published today. Look at the last line where Frons says that story is the most important thing in all these returns. Hmm...a man of contradiction?!?
Members SoapQueen89
Yeah the man needs to realize what he says and does is too different things. Here again saying that the story needs to be there for the returning character/actor, which is true, however, they need to follow through with what they promise. GH alone had the return of Genie Francis, Chris Robinson, Robin Matson, Rick Springfield, Finola Hughes, Tristan Rogers ...etc. Um, where are they? What did they get when they returned to the show? All these veterans returned to GH and they did nothing with them. They ruined the characters and killed them off, sent them to the looney bin, or they just disappeared from the canvas. Yes, Frons I really see where you put ABC's money where your mouth is.

Members DevotedToAMC
That is exactly the problem....good actors return but the stories tend to suck. So where is the payoff? And why do stories suck? Becuase Idiot Face Frons intervenes. Connect the dots Brian
Members sheilaforever
Exactly. Fans aren't stupid. We got burnt by Chris Robinson, Vanessa Marcil - hence all later comebacks didn't pay off ratingswise as they expected. It didn't matter anyway because it was always the exact same rout: Cover of ABC SiD, much fanfare introduction, propping Sonny and/or Jason, Emily or someone else, ruining the character, killing off/never mentioning him/her. Members brimike
That's because Brian Frons doesn't understand what the word "story" means. He thinks "There's going to be a virus outbreak at the hospital!" is a story. Sorry, Big Bri - it's not. That's an event - a plot device. The story is what's going on with the characters underneath it all, and how they grow and change based on the events during said plot device. We need a beginning, a middle, and an end that somehow launches the beginning of a new story. Not the whole world crashing down, a D-player dying, and then everything's just like it was before.
