Members Sedrick
I haven't been a regular viewer of GUIDING LIGHT since the early days of Ellen Wheeler's tenure as EP....the few times in the past year or more when I have tuned in I never could make it through the full hour without turning the channel is disgust... However, for some reason I watched Tuesday's episode and I was shocked that I sat through the whole show! Not only that, but I was even somewhat entertained by what I saw! Color me shocked! I really like Lizzie's characterization now, and I even found myself interested in Cassie and Josh's scenes regarding the child from hell. So as I faithful soap opera addict and supporter, I've now decided to add the show back to my DVR list at least for the next two months for a test period...I can't wait for the overhaul...being the eternal positive and hopeful person that I am, I am praying that the show can transform itself into a sort of American EASTENDERS...fingers are crossed! Members P.J.
I nearly shivered at the thought of Jon's "inspiring" DevilChild. But admittedly, I think it makes sense story-wise. However, I felt like I was watching a Bizzaro version of Cassie, as she clasped Jon to her bosom. I know, I know...they "made peace". I didn't buy it then, and now it seems even more fake. Members Noel
Good luck, Sedrick, and God be with you! I'm just kidding about the God part but I am serious about the good luck part! I haven't watched much at all this week and I'm definately not planning on watching today either. Watching once or twice a week is all that I can take of it and that's it. Until a new regime comes in and Wheeler and Kreizman are gone, I'll probably tune in on a regular basis and see the changes. If they're good, then I'll be the devoted viewer that I was proud to be back in 1987. If not, then I can at least say that the new regime is better than Wheeler & Co., unless, if John Conboy and Ellen Weston came back. *shudders*
Members Southofnowhere
Tired for the first ever last Monday morning and didin't have a clue who anybody was. Plus the sets seemed very cheap and that's coming from a off and on AMC fan.
