January 24, 200818 yr Author Member No thanks....having images of him would give me nightmares. I am sure he and McCrackPipe are having an affair as we speak (or did have one) Edited January 24, 200818 yr by DevotedToAMC
January 24, 200818 yr Member Hrmm I migth just to put beside my copy of Having ti All by Erica etc but it sounds like a dull romance novel to me--not really my thing. I did buy that Marcie Walsh murder mystery, Killing Club from OLTL 2 or 3 years back and thought it was a good quick mystery--but that was cuz Michael Malone wrote it himself and he's already known as a good mystery writer (for books anyway less so on soaps...) So that one had a "real" writer behind it--who wrote this? E
January 24, 200818 yr Member Yup! I pre-ordered it at Barnes and Nobles and I'll pick it up when it comes out. I also got the Killing Club a few years back.
January 24, 200818 yr Author Member I was just joking around when I made this thread. Are they seriously going to issue a copy of the book? LMAO

January 24, 200818 yr Member Nah, not going to bother. I really am not a fan of these cross promotional things (same with that one OLTL did a few years back). But I guess it must be working for Frons to keep doing these cross promotional things..... Probably brings in more money than he gets from advertisers
January 24, 200818 yr Member Jason the book is really being released, Amazon.com has it listed, and the cover art rocks IMO.
January 25, 200818 yr Author Member You didn't know they were going to actually release this? Nope actually I did not. But anyways I am not going to get it...I just joked around in the first post with the "already did" remark
January 25, 200818 yr Author Member Jason the book is really being released, Amazon.com has it listed, and the cover art rocks IMO. I just checked on amazon.com and, sure enough, it is there! Damn that is just funny I started this thread because, a couple of years ago, when New Beginnings premiered, Kendall gave Erica this Erica Kane New Beginnings doll...remember? So someone at the AMC about.com forum started a poll and asked, "Are you going to run out and get an Erica Kane New Beginnings doll?" and I just cracked up Edited January 25, 200818 yr by DevotedToAMC

I also got the Killing Club a few years back. the thing is Killing CLub was written by then head writer, Michael Malone who is a top notch mystery novelist... And it turned out to be minor but really good (certainly better than the show's Killing Club...) Who wrote this?

You really don't get the cheesy way ABC Daytime has operated for a while now, do you (the first ones I remember recently were late 90s when Erica's Having it All book came out as well as on OLTL Patrick thornheart's poetry)
January 25, 200818 yr Author Member I remember the Having It All book....wait I read somewhere they did not have a New Beginnings doll. Did they change their mind? LOL! I know they have had other Erica Kane dolls, like one with her wearing the dress she wore at the 1997 Crystal Ball (oh how I wish they would still do that event! Julia can just put on the gala and do it in Edmund's honor) Edited January 25, 200818 yr by DevotedToAMC
January 25, 200818 yr Member Maybe they did but I swear for a while there was going to be one... It's a bit better--under Angelo Shapiro ABCDaytime was ALl about Shopping the Soaps. So you could buy the tacky looking piece of jewellery Tad bougth Dixie and they mentioned ovr and over, etc etc (then again this was just reviving a soap cliche--the old radio soaps ALWAYS did this)
