Wow, what a great episode. Everything was just terrific. Although I knew what was going to happen in the scene when EJ found John, it was so much better than expected. Great acting by James Scott. He can really convey every emotion. And that is saying a lot since EJ is not one of my favorite characters, but James is growing on me.

Another superb show.

Dee was the star today. She was amazing. Loved her taking the SPD to task and Roman, in particular, sure was getting pounded on for not doing anything about John. Sami even got on him. Loved the history mentions of all Stefano has done, especially to Roman. Roman looked real uncomfortable. Probably that John jealously coming out a bit. Also loved the scene where Marlena and Kate interacted and she said she thought Lucas should get a medal. I like those two as enemies but they understand each other as well and know they are protecting their families. Loved seeing Abe again and the whole investigation. C.B. Dimera is obvious but I like how things are unfolding and Marlena with her daughters by her side is great.

I also loved how Marlena called Belle out on leaving Claire with Philip and only apologized about how she said it, not for saying it. Their scene at the end with the ice cream and watching the movie was adorable.

James Scott was the other star today with his performance when finding John. Loved the unveiling and Stefano talking about how John was bred for this. Kudos on John being revealed early on. Joe was great today too. Loved Stefano vs EJ and Scott played how appalled and shaken EJ was well, especially when with Sami. I am actually enjoying Sami and EJ right now. I never thought I would say that  . Loved the last couple scenes with Stefano and John. Drake is almost like a different actor. So cold, distant. Wow...he impressed me and he didn't even say a word. Loved the talk of the woman and his mission.

Kate/Billie was nice and it's scenes like this that tell you how hot the show is. We would've never seen reaction scenes like these last year. They would be talked about but never seen. Days is doing alot of this lately and it makes all the difference seeing family and friends interacting and reacting. Loved Billie reminding Kate of the advice she gave her and the Kate/Philip scenes continue to be entertaining.

Shawn/Chloe are hot. Wow...BB was glowing and so was Nadia. You can tell they are a couple. Loved their scenes. Nice setup and nice interaction. The Phloe scenes were good as well.

The show is flawless IMO right now. Flawless.

I pretty much agree with the majority with everyone with todays show! Wow! Deidre Hall once again blew me away today and Martha Madison is starting to grow on me just a little bit. I liked how Belle had that small flashback of talking to Hope and she pretty much called Hope a hypocrite and reminded Hope of her little fling with Patrick Lockhart LOL!

I can't type too much because if I did, I'm probably going to end up sounding like a broken record! ;)

I thought this was a great episode for once. It's getting better. My only confusion is EJ: let's not forget that he tortured Steve and programmed him the way Stefano had and has programmed John... so why is he so shocked when Stefano does it? Are we supposed to forget the totally F'd up, sinister EJ?

I agree with you Koos, I think TPTB are trying to rectify the mistake they made with EJ by hoping we viewers won't remember all his (EJ's) past bad deeds. We all saw the flashbacks of Steve's torture so why do they think we have forgotten it??

The episode and Days as a whole is really good now though.

    • I'm curious the motivation for keeping Bela on beyond the circus story arc.  Did he play a character like his character on EON, or was he more of a good guy? I know he ended up with Sunny at the end of the series, but I always thought that Sunny/Hogan could have been revived once the lack of chemistry between him and the NuLiza became apparent.   Actually... the NuLiza (Louan Gideon) reminded me more of Sunny than she did Liza as played by Sherry... and she just threw off the whole vibe of the show. I see Estelle has just arrived in the late October 1985 episodes, which only means that Wendy and Stephanie are soon on their way out.   It also appears that the Sarah/Quinn/Wendy triangle was set up by Mayer.. and it looks as though Tomlin is going to deactivate it by the introduction of Colleen Dion's character.   I don't understand why no one on the show thought to look at Quinn and realize that he was the problem and write him out.

    • I kind of assume they're toning down Rachel's bad seed tendencies a bit to make it less obvious if they're going for her as the shooter. At least that's what I hope they're doing - I've really enjoyed Rachel being a bratty evil DiMera princess and Marlena finally getting a grandchild she deserves.

. This show is so stupid. Sonny killed an FBI agent less than a year ago by shooting him at point blank range. But the new short bald man is much much worse cause he was a bad guy in some part of Africa and managed to not kill Lucky, Isaiah, Jason, or Anna. This show is crippled by the mob all these years after Guza has been long gone.    Laura is literally saying oooo but Sonny is a good mobster for Port Charles. Give me a [!@#$%^&*].ing break. Sometimes I don’t know why I watch this joke of a show.
    • With all the changes Sunny was one of the longest running characters by that time.  She had never been married and had heaps of story potential. I can see America getting with SFT -you know 'the circus soap'. Smart move because circuses were all the rage with the kids in the 80's. Maybe Stu and Jo could have bought the circus.
    • It is actually pathetic, that Victor’s 50 year old children are still written as scared of this man that has to sit in every scene. I get it, EB has been on the show for almost 50 years, but I don’t care. He’s a man in his 80’s and should not be the damn lead and driving force because you don’t want to upset Eric Braeden ‘s fragile ego that only exists because the writers have cowtowed to this man for so long.
    • PREACH Victor being written as he was 20 years ago to support EB's ego or some misguided belief that what worked decades ago is still relevant is destroying the show. Victor comes off as a rambling old fool holding on to vendettas and a desperate need for perceived power. His children still cow-towing to him makes them look equally foolish. If the writing portrayed Victor as  more of an irritant to them then maybe it would work.
    • They desperately need another meeting spot that isn’t Orphy Genes or the Country club. Y&R is awful now but there’s at least GCAC, Crimson Lights, Society, and the Jazz room at GCAC to meet at. 4 places is definitely better than 2 and I can’t imagine these rich folks literally only eat at their damn country club.
    • I support all of this. 80 year old Victor reading lines off the table or teleprompter until it’s time to yell at someone and still being the main man driving story on the show is absolutely ridiculous to me and one of the biggest issues with the show. I respect Braeden for wanting to keep working in his old age is great and all, but WHY IS HE THE LEAD?
