It's gonna take a miracle for hillary to get the nom. I think some of you guys better get used to obama being the democratic nom. :) Because obama has a 130 delegate lead on hillary, even if she wins Pennsylvannia she still has to spilt the votes with obama. Only way she can win is if she blows him out with some of the states, for example she wins 75% of penn. and he gets 25% that will give her more delegates or if she wins 90% of the remaining states. I hope you guys aren't thinking the superdelegates are gonna decide this, because I have heard several SD's say they are picking the candidate with the most delegates overall and even nancy pelosi said it would be damaging to the DNC if the SD's were to pick the nom instead of the voters.

IA that age is no excuse because if McCain is caught in a lie then the press isn't going to automatically excuse him on the basis that he's a senior citizen. Don't we expect older people to be more honest than younger people?

Personally, I don't care what lies Hilary Clinton tells to make herself seem like she's got foreign policy experience because I already know she has none. I don't recall seeing her as an ambassador to any other country or as Secretary of State or in any official capacity as a foreign policy maker. The fact that she may have had discussions with foreign heads of states et al., doesn't give her experience in anything other than conversation, IMO.

As for Barack Obama, I don't care if someone goes out of their way to find video footage of him sitting in the church while Jeremiah Wright gave his sermon or if they go scouring his home to see if he has a dvd of it because, IMO, JW should never have become an issue. Saying that Obama had a choice not to attend that church is proof of his judgment or abilities is like saying that Hilary Clinton isn't a good decision maker because she chose to marry Bill and stay with him. Of course, Hilary would have left the church had her pastor said such things but she probably has no problem with segregated churches at all. Black people had to start their own church to be able to worship God and people don't see that as a travesty but they can be enraged by what a minister said in a church on a Sunday morning several years ago, without hearing his entire sermon to determine whether or not he was really preaching a completely hateful message.

Since people lie on a regular basis and politicians lie to live up to standards that sometimes don't make sense to me, then I choose to be a little more selective about which lies are significant. If a politician's lies bring into question the truthfulness or character of another individual's truthfulness, then I have a problem with it. The reason I don't care for Bill and Hilary Clinton is because prior to his becoming president the first time, the two of them gave a Sixty Minutes interview where instead of telling a lie that he had an affair, they basically called Jennifer Flowers a liar when they were the ones lying. I would have had more respect for them had they been truthful then said it was personal and they dealt with it. But they probably believed their lie was necessary in order for him to win the presidency. Neither one of them needs to question anybody else's honesty about anything until they can admit that their lies and apologize to all the women they smeared in order to make themselves look better.

Its unfortunate that the more divisive this fight gets, the more likely John McCain will get the white house in November. The DNC better work it out, and quick. This thread is just a small snapshot of the landscape that is out there, and the rhetoric that is being displayed here frightens me......

(1) Hillary Clinton DOES HAVE foreign policy experience as her being on committees in the Senate involving foreign relations as well as her trips as First Lady which included deplomatic relations. Hillary's not lying about her foreign policy expierence.

(2) The Jeremiah Wright issue should've MOST DEFINITELY been an issue becaue of Wright's racial and wrong views. Wright has apologized for it and Obama says he doesn't share in the views and I believe him. This issue IS NOT about the right for blacks to have separate churches.

(3) Why in the Hell do you say that Hillary Clinton probably wouldn't have a problem with segregated churches, are you saying she's a racist?

(4) The reason you gave for hating the Clintons is stupid. Gennifer Flowers and Bill Clinton did have an affair, but she WAS PROVEN a liar for the length that she said she had the affair. It was NOONE's damned business either. And what damned women did the Clintons smear? Gennifer Flowers is the only whore that was proven to have an affair with Bill Clinton. Paula Jones was a whore/tool of the Arkansas Republican party and proved herself a whore and liar for posing for Playboy (she had claimed she was this Christian woman, but no Christian is gonna pose nude in Playboy!), Kathleen Wiley was PROVEN a liar (plus she admitted to an affair with George H. W. Bush!!). Monica Lewinsky was just a setup. Your postings on the Clintons sounds like typical right-wing Republican hate imho (sure you're not).

(5) With the screenname "Wales2004", it sounds like you're from Great Britain, if so why are you even involving yourself in the US political scene? Hmm

For some reason I get an IPS driver error if I try to respond directly to a post but I can use fast reply so I'll give this a try.

Like I said I don't care and it doesn't negate the fact that she lied about the sniping. Being on a committee doesn't place one person above another in terms of experience since all the committee members share in the experience alike. I don't place her experience as first lady above any of the other first ladies that made trips abroad and interacted with foreign diplomats but if that gives her experience then it does the same for them and they can claim it if they aspire to run for an office as well.

Jeremiah Wright may be an issue to you and some others but he's never been an issue to me. He has nothing to do with the economy, the health system, national security and many other significant issues. His personal views possibly arose from being/feeling oppressed and I'm not going to condone or condemn his feelings, especially since I don't know him and have yet to hear his complete sermon. Who said anything about this being an issue about blacks having the right to separate churches? Do you think black people specifically wanted to have separate churches or do you not know that they weren't allowed to worship in churches with white people at one point in American history. The African Methodist Episcopal Church was founded by Richard Allen because black people wanted to participate in worship services and were denied the right. There are many segregated churches today that are so not by specific design but because this is the way it is. People are generally segregated based on where they happened to live and the churches reflect the communities in which people live.

Because if/when she goes to church, she probably goes to one that is predominantly white. Or at some point in her life, she may have and probably had no issue with it. You're taking a real leap in twisting my statement to mean that my saying people who go to segregated churches are racist. I am not saying that at all.

I don't care how you want to reason away Monica Lewinsky and the rest of them. Even if ML was a set up, Bill Clinton still took the bait and no one forced him to, but that's beside the point. My reason may very well be stupid to you and millions of others and everyone is entitled to their opinions. The bottom line is that Ms. Flowers was not lying when she said she had an affair with Mr Clinton and he was lying when he said they didn't have an affair. I don't have respect for him calling her a liar about that which she was being truthful. Her character is irrelevant since she was telling the truth.

I've only said this about the Clintons and this sounds to you like a typical right-wing Republican hate? Am I supposed to be insulted by that? If so, I'm not. You certainly are going to believe what you want and I have no intention of refuting or validating what you think since it's your business and not mine.

If you think I owe you any kind of response as to where I am from and if I'm not American, why I'm involving myself in American politics then guess again. I am certain if you broaden your mind and think of all the possibilities, you might come up with an answer that might satisfy you.

Had I been disrespectful to you in my post and you pointed that out to me then you would be due an apology even if I think I've been rather respectful since what hurts you might not faze me. But I don't think that's the case. I think there is a tone to your post that suggests that you may have a problem with differing opinions from yours and you need to categorize me as a certain thing in order to properly dismiss my opinions (when in reality you are free to dismiss them without reason). I am not one of those people in need of defending myself by giving out personal details as if that's going to validate my position one way or the other. What counts is that I am human and I have as much right to speak my mind (whether it sound stupid or reasonable) as you do yours. Labels aren't going to negate that but do carry on.

Team Obama raised 40 million smackers for March.

Team Clinton raised 20 million buckaroonies!

No word on how much team McCain raised.

From what i've been hearing if Clinton wins alot of Obama's peeps won't vote for her and if Obama wins alot of Clintons peeps won't for him!

The Dems have a really mes on their hands and if McCain would go back to the McCain of old he could have a really shot at getting some Dem votes , but not if he keeps on acting like a member of the Bush Family.

Wales2004, I stand by what I said and I do NOT have a problem with people disagreeing with me, but I do have a problem with the the way you were attacking Bill and Hillary Clinton. We'll just choose to disagree. I'm so sick of arguing about politics.

GO DEMOCRATS 2008 ! May whomever the Democrats decide on, may they win in November, I'll vote for Hillary (of course) or Barack Obama. I've started liking Obama again after doing more research on him. So I'd be happy to support him if he wins the Democrat nomination. I think Obama & Hillary will join forces and get their supporters together by November.

If you re-read what I wrote you would see that I said I did not care for the Clintons. You took a mild statement and interpreted don't care for the same as hate which couldn't be further from the truth. You could have saved yourself some aggravation in the first place by saying you disagreed with me instead of what you chose to do in the first place. I don't argue. I merely state my opinion and try to move on because there's no benefit in going back and forth with anyone when it's not going to make any real impact.

I normally stay out of political discussions because people tend to react without taking the time to carefully understand and/or respect someone's position on issues. I'm not going to get heated over any of these candidates because I don't know them personally. I know they're all trying to grab their piece of the pie and I hope whichever one ends up with it, does some good for the country.
