Oh, so whites don't vote in a block....but minorities do.

Historically whites have been divided over politics. You have an example that proves me wrong? I welcome your proof of me being wrong...

Thanks, Casey. You have just made my point!!!!

Glad I could be of service to you..BTW, What point is that Roman (that I helped you prove)?

That is correct Wales. Though AC has a majority of black residents, they do not necessarily vote for candidates just because they are black.

Again...NO ONE..ever said they did! The comments were made about minorities..not blacks voting for blacks...Where did that come from?

Casey, if you don't know.....no amount of explaining will help!

But right on, dude!

Thank you.....now I have Michael Jackson's song running through my head......ya know Black or White.

Isn't it amazing that because I was offended that Casey kept on about Gwen Ifill's professionalism without ever having seen or heard her before and despite the fact that all McCain needed to do was ask for a new moderator we are here. Oh and the fact that I linked Ifil's wondering about possible racial motivations with Fox News' racial insensitivity (where the story originated) made Casey think I was calling him a racist and conclude that I had to be black.

All of this because I apparently write hard to comprehend posts.

I don't regret it at all because today's posts have been total eye openers for me.

Thank all of you who stood up for me and especially you Ryan.

I'll be happy to say it.....it's because she's black. Some people at Fox News have an issue with certain minorities and one of the people pushing this does not understand that black people are capable of being objective and actually thinking as well....among other extraordinary things. In her mind everything is a negative.

:::Casey changes ingore feature:::

Please explain to me how, by saying Ifill was under scrutiny because she is black, is not implying that those that are questioning her have racial motivations...

It's pretty easy to comprehend what you were saying..Are you taking your comment back now..oh righteous one?

I don't find your posts hard to comprehend at all. They are very clear and thought provoking. You seem to state your opinions and label them so. You do not engage in party speak. For me, other posters are very predictable. I can come to this site and pretty much know what their posts would be like.

Yeah, I thought it was a stretch to say that you must be black because you defended Iffil with your statement.

Keep up your posting. They are spot on most of time.

Why does he have to explain? He has stated his case with a great deal of elloquence and no longer needs to explain something that you have shown you won't give him the slightest bit credit for.

Not a football fan. My mantra is: "this is a building year". My heart aches when I attempt to watch a football game.

I live, breathe, eat sleep. Bruin basketball. I can't wait for the season to start.

But right now Dodger blue blood is coursinbg through my veins. It's been 20 years and I am soooo pumpedabout our playoffs so far.

I was questioning Ifill's ethics...Wales said her professionalism was being called into question because she is black...I put two and two together...The elloquent post left out the fact that she came right out and said only racists were questioning her...She made it seem as though I thought she was calling me a racist out of the blue..Far from the truth!

I will not show the slightest bit of respect for someone that lumps me in with racists...Sorry..

Why does it matter what the color of her skin is?

It doesn't really..I'm just wondering..I wanted to know if I really was making a huge "stretch"

How many times does someone have to say that skin color shouldn't matter?

For you to always say I'mthe one who brings up race, why are you still asking Wales what color he is? Why does that matter to you so much?

If you think I'm righteous then so be it.

I answered Roman's post:

I wonder why Gwen is being gone after so tough.

Hmmm.........

And my response went on to elaborate that the source was Fox News.

Had I meant to direct it towards you then I would have flat out said so because I don't have a problem being straightforward.

I'm not holding myself out to be an expert so it's merely my observation that you've also demonstrated racial insenstivity. My observation stems from your needing to negate what I said on the basis of race. For you to assume that the only reason to defend someone.....no matter how vigorously you think it might be... is merely because the person may be of the same race reflects an ignorant and short sighted assumption.

I realize that this may sound like a personal insult. I don't mean it as an insult. I mean for you to take it into consideration that maybe there's a bit of truth in what I've said and maybe it could help in your interaction with others. I try to learn from others as well and I respect your right to your opinions whether or not I agree with them.
