I know that story and he is no serial plagerist. And even so, what does that have to do with being the Head of State. Balancing budgets, and tax cuts, and breaks, and healthcare. What do you think he'll copy somewhere like Canada's healthcare? Hell, if he did, it wouldnt be such a bad thing compared to the crap that your hero's have been giving us for the last 8 years.

He has incidents of plagiarism going all the way back to his law school days. Not to mention the '88 election. Google "joe biden serial plagerist". You will be surprised. It speaks to his character and judgement. What does the maternity of Palin's baby have to do with her ability to lead? I have seen comments about it on this board. I've never heard McCain's character questioned. Because people call him McBush McSame then he is not fit to lead? Who are these people? They seem to be of the intelligence level and as informed of voters as you. Your posts are becoming more and more obtuse.

Too much time spent here going nowhere.

If you can't handle the discussion, you shouldn't put yourself out there. I would hope Obama supporters are glad you are not their spokesman. Edited August 30, 200817 yr by Casey008
August 30, 200817 yr Member I am glad there is such a hot debate going on and too bad I can't read and comprehend that fast......yes the California public school system has failed me. Being neither Democrat or Republican. I am just wondering why the Democrats are letting a Republican continually beat down the question of Obama's plan when the Republican candidate doesn't have a plan himself. Why not focus on what's wrong with McCain instead of the continual fault finding with Obama. McCain has demonstrated that he's more interested in winning a political battle than putting his country first otherwise he wouldn't have chosen the running mate he did. If I'm not mistaken she said she didn't think the VP job was all that important anyway. Joe Biden is a much better choice for VP period. The Republicans are not that enthusiastic about John McCain. The Democrats are at least enthusiastic about their candidate. HRC got more support from her party and votes than McCain has gotten from his so McCain should be the issue. The Republicans are having to swallow a lot to pretend to be happy with him. That is a whole lot worse than whatever HRC holdouts exist since they're clearly about her and not about party politics. Sure they'll feel she's been snubbed but that's no different than Romney Republicans feeling he's been snubbed. I don't care for the mayor of LA but he's made international connections which he can pass off as foreign relations. Repub VP has nada. Joe Biden is respected by foreign leasers as well. I don't care if she has experience cleaning up corruption in Alaska since that's not the same as working in the senate in D.C. I don't see how 20 months running Alaska is comparable to the senate if you want to compare. I don't care who has 20 months or 36 years experience sitting anywhere. I look at quality and as far as that goes I would take Obama's 20 months in the senate over McCain's since McCain doesn't even want to vote for the bill he authored. Now I don't take issue with changing one's but don't be a lying hypocrite. As I said before, the GOP has to know change their whole convention platform since it was supposed to be a week of Obama's inexperience. Anyone that wants to sit around and hail Palin as a great choice must not realize that the President not only leads the nation but has to represent as a world leader.

McCain has a very detailed plan of leadership, his extensive plan varies from domestic to world affairs. His plan does not get much play in the media. His attacks of Obama's plan, character, and lack of experience get more play because of the strong sensitivity to any negativity towards Obama.

At the end of the day there are a host of people who want to see that invasion turned occupation ended, and the debt it has created eliminated. McCain wants to continue the occupation, start some more invasions aka wars and continue the economic stimulus packages. This would mean that China would have to dig deeper to lend out some more money to this super power and you think Europe won't find the mighty USA a bit of a joke then.

Anyone that wants to sit around and hail Palin as a great choice must not realize that the President not only leads the nation but has to represent as a world leader. Let me add, if I may. The argument is that the the TOP of the ticket should ahve the person with the most executive experience. John McCain chose someone with more excutive experience than him. This has been the argument today. So.......by this logic, Sarah Palin should run for higher office because sh'es the only one out of the four with executive experience. Also, what does this say about JM to chose someone with more executive experience than him? Obama does it, and it shows his lack of experience. MCain does it, and it shows how much of a maverick he is (I'm really sick of this term. Period). And if you can only be a Governor and run on executive experience.....once again, why does John McCain sit at the TOP of the Republican ticket? He's never been a Governor. It's very interesting. If Obama had chose Sarah Palin to be his running mate, if she were a Democrat, the same people saying how great a pick this is would be blasting him right now for doing something that proves he's not ready to lead.

Solving problems through the free market instead of through government is part of McCain's plan that gets little coverage. Without a universal healthcare program to pay for along with many other wasteful government being eliminated through McCain's plan, it will free us up to fight abroad to ensure our safety from the threat of terrorism. Obama's plan to turn tail and run and reduce millitary spending WILL definitely make us a joke. That's not the message that I would like us to send to the resurgent Russians.
