OMG. I miss Peter Jennings, that crazy Canadian. He was the last of a generation of responsible journalists that really and truly believed in the concept of delivering the news instead of making it. He was a heck of a man that built his career by his bootstraps. I respect the heck out of him for it, god rest his soul.

Brit Hume is cut from that mold. I like Charlie Gibson okay but he's one of those people that gives me the impression (totally MY impression and I'm not saying it's truth) that he doesn't necessarily understand all that he reports. I don't know what it is about him that gives me that impression but it's there and I can't get rid of it. Anderson Cooper is alright too but if I were to use my journalism degree to work in the field, I'd work for Brit Hume without hesistation and take a pay cut to do so because of how much I could learn from that guy.

Yeah, I have a braincrush on Brit...hehe.

I actually don't usually click on links, either. And I rarely, if ever, offer links of my own. Why? I once engaged in political debate on a message board and every time I offered a link, the source page was attacked as being right wing by my opponents and, regardless of the information contained within, was immediately discounted by them.

Why bother?

Thanks. I like Dan Abrams even when I disagree with him. I still say they should have kept his show and gotten rid of David Gregory's. I don't see Abrams doing MTP either. They need one of those stern serious types and the only one I can think of on NBC right now that fits that mold is Lester Holt but he's more of an anchor type than an interaction type.

Although I did see some of the analysts on ESPN predicting that the Patriots wouldn't be all that this season, I get what you're saying about fawning. Bill Belichik doesn't help tlheir image much either and he and Tom Brady are pretty much the face of the Patriots. I've got about a handful of teams that I love to see lose....okay maybe more than a handful but my top three to see lose are the Patriots, the Saints, and the Bucaneers.

I like your three football team losers here. I'll sign off on that! hehe...as a Falcon fan (yes, there really are Falcon fans....really) I gotta hate the Saints and the Bucs...it's like a requirement. The Patriots? I'm just so darned tired of hearing about them. I was thrilled when the Giants beat them like year!!

I don't care for TO but I do love the Cowboys and he's unfortunately part of the package just like Alex Rodriguez is part of the Yankees' package for me, though I could do without him as well. I like Brett Favre so now that he's not on Green Bay I can root for him until he plays the Cowboys or the Colts.

I can't even say much about Randy Moss. I liked the Vikings one season and then Robert Smith retired and they were never as good as that. They were on my must see lose list when Jeff what's his name took over as quarterback and he almost made me forsake the Raiders as well....I was obviously so traumatized that I can't remember his last name.

I've always considered myself a centrist, this quiz "proves" it. Lol, I ended up 50/50, dead in the center.

CENTRISTS espouse a "middle ground" regarding government control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention and sometimes support individual freedom of choice.

Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind,

tend to oppose "political extremes," and emphasize what

they describe as "practical" solutions to problems.

It was hard for me to root for the Giants but I preferred seeing them win than seeing the Patriots win.....we'd have never heard the end of the Patriots and their perfection. The Giants did come close to beating them during the season so I figured they would have more than a chance in the Super Bowl.
