Yeah, this could be the case of inexperience. She's never written breakdowns (no experience in plotting) and she didn't write any soaps for 15-16 years? They should've paired her with a veteran writer to help out.

If that primetime Trent Jones isn't the daytime Trent Jones, as you pointed out, then I really don't see why she hasn't hired him already.

I've read somehwere Maria wrote a novel. I don't know if it got published, though.

With Y&R getting some 3.4's in its dailies, they better act fast. Who wants to bet that they'll be yet another behind the scenes chance at Y&R this year, if ratings continue to head south?

And still, we have yet to see the show's writing staff decrease. Maria is quickly entering my list of hacks, I don't care about how long she's been at the show. She should've never been the long-term head writer. There's a variety of people who know this show and aren't writing anything big at the moment, yet those idiots in charge wouldn't think to hire them.

Actualy, she was quite good during the strike. Things didn't head south until the writing staff came back and she was HW on her own.

But, look, criticism from the guy who still watches ATWT and wishes the ratings would go up, but hates Passanante and Goutman. Yeah, ok...
