Draughon mostly worked at Sunset Beach and DAYS (2002-2006). Then he created the web soap "Coastal Dreams."

All I have to say is good luck to all these writers who will have to work very hard to save/cover up Dena Higley's lazy ass.

Not big on Draughon myself. I love Bradbury and Kelley isn't bad. Scholz really improved under Hogan. I'm glad some of them are remaining. Would love for Casiello to return but I doubt it. He seems like one that could work with anyone but would Dena want him. Is there any chance of him returning, Toups?

Mark Higley and Victor Gialanella were the ones "writing" during the strike right (or covering for Dena)? I hate what they did but i must say they did a good job with character interactions and such. It wasn't pretty but considering there was no team in place and all the action and drama of sweeps and such...they did a good job. Hate how all this went down but still.

Toups, do you have any idea about any former Days writers like SLG or others returning? She is one I want to return. Also, will Dena have a co-HW and is her husband going to be an associate HW? I would also like to know when we will begin seeing the writing team's work and when Dena will officially be confirmed as HW because I would think it would be announced by now. Y&R announced theirs. It makes me think there may be more stuff going down that may cause complications.

I suspect that's EXACTLY the reason why no announcement has been made, PR. Days is the only soap to have a very public scabbing controversy surrounding it post-strike. I'm sure the WGA is just *waiting* for an announcement to be made so they can begin an investigation. If they haven't already started.

Wow, except for Bradbury, there are no "heavy hitters" here. For a show in trouble, you'd think they'd pull out the big guns now. They brought their A-list actors to the forefront, but they really need some A-list writers.

I don't know.

They went Fi-Core but they're names haven't appeared in the credits yet which is weird. I think Corday might've decided NOT to put their names in the credits because he's "protecting" Dena - yet another example of him being shady. <_<

Kinda suspicious, eh. He doesn't announce a HW, he doesn't list any writers in the credits...... <_<

I believe Victor G. is Dena's Co-HW, but he's not an equal Co-HW like Brown/Esensten. But I don't know if he'll be credited as a Co-HW - he was Dena's Co-HW back in 2003 but he was never credited with that title. Who knows, maybe this time he negotiated to have the Co-HW title and pay in exchance for going Fi-Core.

Mona is his sister: http://knotslanding.net/newsite/content/view/97/55/

There is a passage about his start as a writer (on Knots Landing) and how he brought his sister Mona along with him. He also talks about the early days of Y&R.

Here's a great quote about his thoughts on writing Y&R: "Y&R has really stayed loyal to the families

and the inner lives of some complex characters and, much like David - what I

was saying about David Jacobs' original intention - just to keep the story

generating out of the people, out of their personalities, out of their

attempts to live their lives, rather than from space aliens or earthquakes

or guns."

Bring him back!

I wonder why his stint at B&B didn't work. But I don't believe Bradley fired him, he probably exited on his own accord.
