February 5, 200817 yr Member Even though Brooke's f-u-c-k-e-d just about every man in LA, she's suppose to be the "tragic heroine" of the show. We're supposed to sympathize with her and understand her conflicted nature. Also, Katherine Kelly Lang makes the character very likeable with her acting choices, its got to take a hell of an actress to make a slutty heroine look that sympathetic. WHAT? love for KKL? some things in life i dont understand, this is one of them. lol
February 5, 200817 yr Member Ryan, I'm glad you made the point of how transformative the child gun play could be on GH. I don't think Marlena was getting it from me or anybody else!

February 7, 200817 yr Member Please ask Marlena why she so inflexibly maintains the position that GH's story with Michael signals trouble for the soap genre at large. I think the comments in response to her column show otherwise. Wouldn't it be better to wish that the plot influenced a move away from mob glorification, most effectively with different writers? Spoilers usually have a way of inspiring moans and groans, but this story should not be one of them in and of itself. Obviously GH intends to expand on the mob presence with the Zucchinis' growing numbers. Still, underestimating the audience because it supposedly can't stomach the idea of kids in danger is laughable, to be honest. Look at the child kidnappings lately, from OLTL to ATWT, with perpetrators brandishing weapons. If the kid is holding the gun, THEN it's suddenly a problem? You lost me, sister! Well, I have to agree with her. They are doing it for shock not for awareness.
