And out of those five, three are barely seen, one is dead (unfortunately) and one seems to have dropped off the face of the planet.

Not currently, but neither is any show out there. GL was fantastic from its debut to about 1994, then everything fell apart. If Khan was speaking from an historical standpoint, I can definitely see where he/she is coming from.
