Do you (or did you) watch telenovelas?

Yup, she's a riot.

I am still surprised that a lot of telenovelas are currently airing in Croatia, after a long break by Nova TV and RTL.

Currently, we have:

Days ouf our lives (not a telenovela, but it's a soap LOL)

En nombre del amor

Dona Barbara

Mar de amor

Los Victorinos

Bella calamidades

Donde esta Elisa

Yeah, because a year ago (or two years, I'm not sure) we only had two on HRT (Mexican/Croatian) and maybe one on NOVA pushed in the early morning schedule. It was literally a ghost town, and suddenly this year it's a circus.

One on HRT and one on RTL. Though... Nova TV aired that train-wreck Rebelde

No, I wouldn't say cartoonish. I'd say she showed a whole different side. After the moronic Esmeralda character, this ruthless, psycho villain is a complete change.

It wasn't a comment on her acting skills, but more of a comment on her character as a whole. She was just too evil, nothing like other telenovela villains. You usually hate them for some of the simple bad things they do, but her character apparently is just too hard to handle (the description I've heard from others). Or let's say this - she's not the type of villain you love to tune in for every day, but the type that makes you skin crawl and you just want off of your screen.

Thankfully, two episodes air each day, so it will be over soon.

However, Leticia Calderon was always an okay actress for me, especially in her Laberintos de Pasion role.

"Caminho das Indias" ended this Friday in Brazil. 54 % Brazilian viewers tuned in to see the end of the Indian love story. Here is the clip of the last 5 minutes of the episode.

"Viver a Vida" (Living the Life) starts this Monday. A new telenovela by Manoel Carlos, creator of big hits such as "Lacos de Familia" (Family Ties), "Mulheres Apaixonadas" (Women in Love) and "Paginas da Vida" (Pages of Life). The main story is centered around the life of Helena, a young model, who falls in love into an older man. Here are some promos:

Tais Araujo is a Goddess.Sexiest actress I've ever seen on Brazilian or American soaps.

Geez, this one is even more boring than Escrito nas estrelas.

Eva Luna  Another crap from Venevision/Univision.

Marlene Favela in Herederos del Monte. It's a remake of a popular Chilean telenovela "Hijos del monte".
