1. She is NOT educated. watching FOX News = NOT EDUCATION! ur examples are very extreme to an uneducated person.

2. She watchs the news and agrees with what her gov tells her to belive then spits it back out. wow. anyone can do that.

3. i am no biased or closeminded. i in fact am not one way or the other. both political sides have good and bad. i form my own thoughts.

......

and as for rosie saying the ov had a hand in 9/11 being a purelie that can be proven its a lie. thats utter bullshit. sry but its true. do i think they were the sole cause of it - nope. do i think they could have done ALOT (read ANYTHING!!) to stop it, yes.

No offense, but I have a hard time taking criticisms about Bitsy's intelligence from an attacker who says, "ur examples are very extreme." It's "your."

But you're right. Watching news of ANY kind (I assume your suggestion isn't restricted to Fox News) is not an education. It's staying informed. And regardless of the slant one suggests such reporting has, it's still staying informed.

You are only truly educated if you've graduated from some form of college, I'd say.

Oh, and Jack? Bits graduated from Boston College.

Therefore, she IS educated. NO ONE can argue that.

CASE CLOSED.

Mulder...you are the one who is wrong.

As I never have said and never would say that ALL Dems are bad, and all Repubs are good. That is a ridiculous statement and it is just as ridiculous when it is reversed.

There are two sides to every story and more points of view to shake a stick at.

I do not get why in your eyes...the Dems are the best things ni the world and the Repubs are horrid. And those who happen to agree with one thing or many that the Repubs do are wrong.

I guess I see things in a more clearer manner and I know that both sides try to do what they think is right, sometimes one does it better than the other.

It is sad, in my opinion that you show such hatred and vile dislike for those who differ from you and your beliefs.

I am proud to say many of my closest friends think opposite of politically but we manage to get along.

Try it sometime. It is a big world out there.

If you truly did not say that all Dems are bad, all Repubs are good, then I apologize to you.

What Repubs have stood for since at least Ronald Reagan, for the most, are wrong!

I do not have hatred or vile dislike for Republicans. My father and most of his family are Republicans, and there is even a few, espcially one aunt (whom I love, but ignorant she most definitely is) who still likes W. She uses the W and Republican phrase he's 'Christian', which is a load of pure unadulterated bullshit. And that comes from a Christian!

I am also friends with Republicans and work with Republicans. We don't get into politics, much. And definitely not like I do in political chatrooms and here. Politics doesn't ruin friendships or family relationships for me. Your close-minded has really come through with you. But of course you (like a lot of Republicans) always turn it back on Demcrats, INdependents, etc.

oh im sorry, i thought this was the internet we are on. i wasnt aware that internet slang wasnt okay to use.

yes it is staying informed. however when you limit yourself to 1 news network, it isnt so much. because when you limit yourself to one view, thats all you have to go off. if she wanted to form her own thoughts and openions she would open herslef up to other views, insted of her one.

and im not saying shes uneducated all together. so yay for her she went to a college, i know plent of book smart people. that doesnt mean you are educated and informed on all issues.

and dont tell me what i can and cant argue.

First of all, if something such as anyone's being educated -- a fact -- can be proven beyond reasonable doubt, I can tell anyone I please that they can't argue that point. Not to be mean, but because that also is a fact: the point can't be argued.

Second, news is news. Fox News is conservative a bit and CNN is liberal a bit. People can deny this all they want but it's just a fact. O'Reilly is proof of that. Look what the liberal media did to him; they took his comments out of context, didn't even listen to his entire radio show before reporting their story, and they did it either out of a liberal cause, or because the reporters worked for a company that competes fiercely with Fox News -- which, by the way, kicks the pants out of CNN in the ratings; so why gang up on them when America has made them the STANDARD? That's what I don't get.

But I digress, at the end of the day, from what I can tell, BOTH liberal and conservative media outlets give both sides of the story, so why should Bits be critcized if, in fact (and we don't have proof of this) that she ONLY watched Fox News? She's still getting the whole picture.

Unlike viewers of CBS's "Early Show" and CNN, who were treated to some of the most biased, competitive reporting against O'Reilly: molding him into a racist by taking his comments out of context.

By the way: When I say that certain media groups are liberal or conservative, this is measured -- and has pretty much been proven -- in studies that show the number of liberal-leaning stories a news organization gives most its attention to, (or a conservative-leaning story budget for that matter) vs. those of the other side.

And I'll concede that Fox is more conservative. No one should dispute that (just, as no one should dispute the CNN accusation); but to say it's somehow inferior as a news organization is misguided since both sides ARE given.

I'll never get that argument.

okay hwew is the thing - its obviously clear that no matter what you will never agree with anyone that doesnt share your extreamly narrow views... you call faxts. you label everything as a fact and say ha! u cant argue that!!

so whats the point in having a conversation with someone who... well cant conversate.

  • Member

Not to be mean (I do this for a living), but you should know that "conversate" is a nonstandard word. In other words, it's not a word. Please use "converse" in the future.

That being said, I don't have extremely narrow views. Ask anyone who knew me 10 years ago. Kenny, for example. When he knew me, I was spouting homophobic crap and REALLY narrowminded.

Now, I'm much more open-minded. The problem is, some things really are facts. I'm not saying this out of my own bias, which is why I fail to see your point. They're just facts.

I do not turn anything back on anyone.

I merely state that each side does good, each side does bad. Neither said is worse than the other...in fact they are pretty similar when you break it all down.

I never once called a person who voted for Clinton as ignorant....or the fact that they supported someone I did as ignorant or stupid. I may feel they are wrong, but that is their choice. So who is close minded? Not me.

I like some things "W" has done, I disagree with others, actually many others. I am sorry, but the war is not one of them.
