She does have vacation, of course, she has children that are her priority. It's just a common misconception that she has it in her contract like the other big guns (Geary, Lucci) that she gets tons of time off for vacation.

What was the reason given for Lexie not seeing Stefano, I didn't get a chance to catch Friday's episode.

In Friday's episode Lexie did see Stefano, she just refused to donate part of her liver to save him and told him to his face how little she cared for him after all he had done to their lives.
