Really good show today, a tad bit plot driven in parts, but still good. I really think Luke is not going to put up with Noah's actions for very long. I totally love that Katie is going on a trip, hopefully off screen. I loved the Snyder family moments. I totally loved Dusty threatening Cheri with Winston, Maddie and Noah watching, I wonder what happens next? Loved the previews for Wednesday's show, Carjack look good, and so do Luke and Noah.

For anyone interested, Cole's surname is Norbeck.

Kind of "blech-y" day....FAR too much Katie and her fake-y pious "understanding" of her "adult" relationship. Yeah, sure, honey...your newfound mature attitude is why you suddenly decided to sidestep another direct question about whether she trusts Jack. Or distrusts Carly. I's call it running like a scared bunny after seeing/hearing the Carjack family in action. Teeheee....run, bitch, run. Serves you right for dropping by the ex-wife's house anyway.

Then there was Jack. Hey, buddy. Maybe you should tell your kids you've engaged yourself to the Queen of the CounterTop before you go setting a date?

Brad, Brad, Brad....now you're going to run interference for Katie? Grow a set and just do nothing. He's already whipped, and all Katie's done to earn his loyalty is abuse the snot out of him and promise him nothing. Although I guess this means they truly are friends, which means she'll be sleeping with him soon enough.

Carly...you're looking good. Your trust in Jack is touching...too bad the writing's making him look like a complete ass.

LOL...I should sympathize with Alison, but it's not like we haven't seen that exact clip of Dusty/Ali sexin'....and it's hardly as titillating a "performance" in bed as any of those DVD's Ali consented to make. Just exactly how big is Dusty's address book, if minutes after it had been posted it had 11000 hits?

Oy...dramatic plot device overload in the Noah/Major/Luke scenes. Great...I guess Noah lives at the Lakeview too, if he's offering to shack up with Maddie? Yes...because all interns "saving" for college would live there.

Hey, has Luke's going to college this fall ever even been mentioned?

Ok, what the hell was that today? I am so sick if JACK!!! And I hate that because Jack is my favorite male character on any soap!!!! I am trying to understand how when you just find your son who has been kidnapped that you are running after your pathetic whiny fiance to see if she's okay and leave your kids behind??? This is not the Jack we know and love. I don't even know who he is right now!!! He gives Carly all these looks, agreeing to sleep at Carly's house with the kids(can u say plot driven?) and right after running back from begging Fluffy for her understanding and trying to get her to set a date!!! Please tell me they are going to turn this storyline around soon. It is becoming really stupid and very hard to watch. And what the hell is wrong with Brad? I don't understand him either. Can u say trying to hard? Watching him grovel after Katy is horrible as well. UHHHHHH....that's all my venting about CARJACK or the lack there of....lol

Really felt for Allison today....man she can't get a break!! Was nice to see Aaron at least feelling for her today. Instead of always bitching about her. And not liking Gwen's attitude about Allison....pretty stupid.

And what is up with Noah's father. Starting to see why Noah is in the closet!!! Can you say interfering control freak. Poor Luke....Can't wait for tomorrow to see the Luke stuff ....previews looked good

Looks like Gwen has some explaining to do. I guess she just forgot to mention that she had a brother and that he is BBB.

Boy is Wil in for a surprise. My guess is that Ali knows about the brother but is too busy with her own problems to say anything. Notice how Gwen's whole attitude toward Ali has change, they used to be friends.

In my book Jack has always been an a ss, from the minute he first came back to town through both Julia's and with his constant condesending and patronizing treatment of Carly. He and Katie deserve each other.

It was either the Lakeview or Emma's. Not only has there been no mention of college but it seems that Lily and Holdumb have forgotten he's alive.

Just wait til they find out he's in love and bout to get married.

Well it was record time for me today since I am back at work. So I start watching and forget that I am not watching live. Then I start thinking and say like Brad Snyder..."Duh"....I can ff some of this crap!! The whole Dusty/Allison porn on the net fiasco was pure FF material for me. Thank gawd for the ff button. :) Aaron and Sofie...again ff button took a hit.....LOL. I watched most of the Carly/Jack/kids/Fluffy/Brad stuff but couldnt stomach Fluffy's crying and Jack being a total a$$!!! The only thing I truly enjoyed was the few minutes we got from Nuke and Dear old Sir Dad....LOL. Isn't it obvious that "Sir" knows something might be going on between his son and Luke? I like the way "Sir" tried to break Luke to spill everything. But Luke was so on to him that he didnt.

Call me crazy but I actually like Sophia and Aaron.... not a huge fan of this vesion of Allison... something about the way she holds her mouth irks me to no end but I digress.... as far as Alison and Aaron... either break them completely or do something else.... but PLEASE no Alison and Dusty.... had about enough I can take of Dusty....

What really saddened me about today's show..... how much I've grown to dislike Katie.... Fluffy used to be one of if not my favorite characters on the show but now.... I want her @ss gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's such a tool and an useless one at that..... where did her great love for Jack suddenly come from? And let not get stated on Jack.... the writing for him as of late..... irritating at the least.... I watch live so I don't get to do much fast forwarding so I'm close to pulling my hair out by the end of the show.... maybe some storylines will change soon and I can go back to loving my ATWT on a daily basis instead of every now and again....

I find that to be my main problem with Katie lately as well. It's like her throughline is completely gone. Before it was her love and devotion to Simon, then her friendship with Henry, and most recently, her love for Mike. The whole Jack thing seemed to come almost out of nowhere, as if the writers were just forcing them together because Maura was gone, and Mark Collier and Paul Leyden were leaving. I think Katie needed some time alone for the audience to warm up to her again, much like we needed that time back in the day after she tried breaking up Lily and Holden (though she was fairly quick to move on with Simon after that.) I think we've just had too much Katie in the last couple of years, and none of it really good.

Speaking of things that have been too much... if I ever hear talk of porn, prostitution or dirty videos on this show again, it will be too soon. Someone... please, do something!

And on a side note... seeing as how JJ just survived a recent kidnapping, one would think Jack and Carly would be a bit wary of allowing their kids to be left unsupervised. Just who was watching Sage and Parker when Jack and Carly got home with JJ? The two came out of the kitchen (where apparantly they were partaking in Oakdale's other past time of late other than pornography... baking) with no mention of who was watching them. Brad was at the farm... Katie hadn't arrived yet... maybe Emma' back from that little trip she's been on, but couldn't be bothered to leave the kitchen?

Yeah, I was gonna mention something about Parker and Sage just "bein' home and bakin' cookies for JJ"....but hearing Katie mention she'd taken them there would have sent me over the edge, so I just let it go.

I was never a Katie fan, but I'm feed up with the Carjack story being all about Katie. Jack is emotionally nowhere to be found in this story. In fact, it's rather annoying to listen to Jack claim he's the "stable" parent who's done nothing but put his kids first, when he's just as deluded about Katie as Carly was about Simon.

    • Apologies Slick- not updating my somewhat disorganized lists. Michael Fairman THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS   Patrick "Murph" Murphy   2008-14  2017 recurring DAYS OF OUR LIVES  Mr Schroeder 1977 Wesley Ann Pfenning THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS   Lauralee 'Lorie' Brooks August 1980 Temp replacement for Jaime Lyn Bauer
    • I sure don't pretend to have expert recall, lol.   In the first episode, Sally McGuire famously said, "Kind of a drag, isn't it.  Being stuck in a place like Genoa City.  God, I feel so restless."  In the same episode, the truck driver told Brad Eliot, "Genoa City -- nice-sized town, but I prefer St. Paul.  That's where the family is."     We were given the idea from Day One that Genoa City was a fairly *small* to *mid-sized* Midwestern metropolis, not nearly as big as a Chicago or even a Detroit or Minneapolis.   In the early 1990s, Victor Newman advised Hope Wilson that Genoa City was comparable to Wichita, Kansas -- population about 400,000 in 1990, with a metro population of around 500,000.   The high-rises that I remember being featured from early on were the Genoa City Hotel and Genoa Towers.  There was a restaurant called "The Embers" in one of them (Genoa Towers, I believe). Lorie Brooks moved into a penthouse, circa 1978, which was located at 247 East Chestnut.  Lorie's unit was #2500, indicating her apartment was on the 25th floor.  Vanessa Prentiss jumped to her death from the balcony in 1981.  During Lorie's trial, they gave the address about a zillion times -- "247 East Chestnut #2500".  This was an inside joke of Bill Bell's, because his co-writer, Kay Alden, resided in real-life at 247 East Chestnut #2500 in the Streeterville neighborhood of Chicago.  From Lorie's balcony, we could see a cluster of several high-rises -- not a Chicago by any stretch of the imagination, but more a Wichita.   Jabot's corporate offices were on 4th Street.  The "corporate suites" were on the 12th floor, indicating the building was likely 12 stories.  Kevin Bancroft, an architect, was hired to design a new high-rise (Newman Towers) in 1981.  Much ado was made about Newman Towers being 35 stories, among the tallest in the city.  The address given for Newman Towers was 7800 Melrose, another Bill Bell inside joke -- Y&R was recorded at 7800 Beverly Blvd in Los Angeles.  Paul moved his office into Newman Towers to "upgrade his image".  As someone mentioned, Nikki took an apartment in Newman Towers to "have a place in town to spend the night" when she "didn't feel like driving back to the ranch"; instead, her apartment became a love nest with Jack Abbott.  Victor and Diane, during their marriage, lived on the top floor of Newman Towers.  The show did a few remotes in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, back in the 1980s and early 1990s.  Evidently the production staff felt Pittsburgh mirrored what we were seeing on-screen -- cold and snowy, good-sized Rust Belt metropolis.  I believe Pittsburgh's population was around 500,000 at the time, comparable to the "Wichita-sized city" Victor described to Hope.   In the early 2000s, there were some "establishing shots" filmed around Charlotte, North Carolina.   Not sure why they selected Charlotte over Pittsburgh.  Probably figured found a couple of buildings there on which "Newman Towers" and "Jabot Cosmetics" could be airbrushed easily.
    • Yeah, they played it wrong with them last time including the idiotic engagement to Jax (a go-to Ron always goes for with returning characters for no reason and did with Scott and Laura in an equally ridiculous subplot around the same time - there was no way those two would reunite again). But Brenda raising hell in town, antagonizing Carly, reconnecting with A.J. and Robin, even the Michael tease all worked for me because it was about her being central, able to be plugged in anywhere and shaking up the canvas. That is what she is best at and what she can do. Sonny has to come to her where she lives and especially after what happened to their marriage.
    • I mean maybe RH and Vanessa would pop off in chemistry lol.. I actually wouldn't be surprised.   I honestly don't need Brenda in random pairings but I need some movement on Sonny's part to not be the worst.  Because I feel like the always put them back together on popularity with zero movement in the actual lovestory.  And I do feel like the show plays Brenda as so lovelorn for Sonny..which fine, but Sonny is a actual trash bag fire with like 17 kids from 17 moms so...........
