LMFAO it does make me laugh when someone brings up what Erica has done as a way to make Babe's sin seem somehow better.

Erica has paid and then some for what she did to Maria. Maria NEVER forgave her, nor did they ever become best friends.

Babe keeps doing the same crap over and over. She was all set to take off with Little A again, just a few months back.

She learned NOTHING from what she did to Bianca

The difference is that Erica never pretended that she was sorry. She never pretended that she was Maria's best friend. She never flunced around town acting like she was martyr who was the victim in everything. She gave Maddie back. She went to jail. She did her time.

Babe cried. Babe blamed everyone but herself. Babe let her mother and father take the fall and was just like, " Oh poor me, they took Little A from me." She didn't even believe she deserved to lose her child. After everything she did, she still believed she deserved to be treated like she was innocent and merely a victim of time and circumstance, oh and big bad JR. Babe tried to make is seem like she'd just merely forget to give Miranda back. She knowingly, willingly and wantingly tortured Bianca with her own child. Bianca cried on Babe's shoulder as she grieved Miranda, and Babe, Babe soothed her all the awhile tucking Miranda into bed at night.

There is no excuse for keeping a child from it's mother, no. But there is a big difference in the way it was done with Erica and Babe.

Erica paid? On what show? She went to jail for maybe three months and then she was forgiven by Edmund for stealing Maddie from Maria. After that Edmuind and Erica were very close friends and confided in one another time and time again. It was as if Erica never stole his child. Moreover Erica never faced any social consequences for stealing Maddie. She was never chewed out for what she did to Maria. She was still hailed as the queen of Pine Valley and no one was disgusted with what she did. She was still considered the pillar of society. Even Erica has said that her jail time for what she did to Maria was "cushy" and even said as much to Krystal. She bragged about how much the jail gaurds loved her and made sure she was never uncomfortable. She had admires while she was in prision and faced absolutely none of the things Krystal or Di had to face in prision.

Erica paid? How. She gained everything after she went to jail. She got her daughter back. She got full custody of Bianca and Bianca loved her more then anything. Jack stood by her while she faced her jail sentence and she even got Enchantment back. Erica had the support of her community, her friends, her lover and her child and she even gained back Enchantment back and took it away from Hayley, after she was finished that joke of a jail sentence. Erica paid? Not likely. Especially considering Maria had maybe two months to hold baby Maddie before she was killed by that plane crash.

Moving on to the part of your post that says Maria and Erica were never friends. I have to disagree with that. Seeing as Maria was one of the first people to comfort and support Erica when Erica found out Bianca was raped by Micheal Cambius. The sheer fact that Erica walked in and out of Wildwind like it was her own personal home contest the fact that Maria and Erica were never friendly. Hell Maria even let Erica in her own home and near her children during Edmunds funeral and even sat silient as Erica went on one of her hypocritical tirades about how Maria was so horriable for being unfaithful to Edmund. Maria constantly tolerated Erica and was a doormat and was a living saint to even let Erica near her home let alone near her children. Maria also testified at Erica's court trial. So their are more parralells to the story then you think.

Your right Erica never pretended during the 5 months she took Maddie that she was sorry. She spitefully flaunted Maddie/Sonya under Maria's noise and constantly taunted Maria about the fact that she lost her child and she even said behind closed doors that Maria deserved the pain that she was in because Maria slept with her Dimitri. Erica wanted Maria in pain and wanted to cause her the greatest heart ache. Erica did it all with a sociopathic smile on her face. Babe atleast had the tact to feel sorry. Erica felt that Maria deserved her pain and deserved to have her child kept from her over revenge over Dimitri. Babe wasn't like that. Babe kept Miranda because her baby died. Babe was a victim of Paul Cramer. Paul stole her son and told her that he died and when it proved to be to difficult to tell JR that same lie her made up another and said Bianca's baby died. Paul was the one who set it all into motion. Babe wasn't the one to kidnap Miranda. It was all Paul's influence and it was Paul who set it up. Babe held on to Miranda because she couldn't deal with losing Little Adam and having her family torn apart. That is a hell of a better reason then getting back at a woman because she slept with your husband.

Babe lost her child. Which was the ultimate price of her deal in the Babyswap. Babe was an outcast for a year and she didn't get custody of her son back until March of 2006. Erica went to a cushy jail cell and was out after 3 months. After Erica stole Maddie all she did was gain, gain gain. Babe lost, lost, lost. By comparision I still think Babe paid more then Erica did.

    • So far the only interest I've seen from Evan to Amanda has been listening to Iris's orders to go and seduce her.  So far he hasn't been successful... but who knows. Amanda is unbearable at times. Entitled, spoiled... idiotic. Iris... so blatantly manipulating her and Amanda takes the bait. But I guess... when she gets in trouble... she'll have a chance to learn. That's what makes these shows so interesting.    Oh, no, don't worry. You haven't ruined a thing. Evan has not been on my radar that much... he was not one of the characters I was caring particularly... so nothing much has been changed for me. I don't think he has the stuff to ruin Rachel's life. He's just a pretty guy that can follow orders. Iris on the other hand... is dangerous.

    • The show has gone back to 10/10 entertainment! I'm glad that I was right in feeling that what were experiencing were growing pains. I'm sure they are not over yet, but I'll know that we always comeback to quality drama. I think it's going to be a hell of ride (in a good way) from this moment on. BTG has that magic that not a lot of shows have. I'll update more... when I'm done catching up.
    • So very glad to hear this. Yesterday I suddenly thought; OMG, what about spoilers, have I just  ruined things for Maxim in getting carried away with interest in Evan, who was so well-written & well-acted. BTW, your fan review of this episode was a sight for eyes that had not seen one of these for a little bit too long, LOL!!!  Mitch is also fascinating to me but in his case it's because he was all in with Janice & her nefarious plan & then he did this turnabout we've mentioned & he basically got off scot-free.
    • It does seem cheap and lazy for this show to have just one family. Passions was heavily criticized but it was nicely structured with a total of four families.
    • I think it was definitely a surprising reveal in the storyline. I had a hard time appreciating Evan because I couldn't get behind his interest in Amanda. But that's because I never thought Sandra Ferguson made her a compelling character (although to give her credit she occasionally had decent emotional scenes with Mac or Rachel).
    • I'll even go further... I'll make her re-think BeLief and create a new patent. Brooke needs stuff to do. Anything other than beg or be in her panties. We need her to be creative. But sadly Bradley has a very low opinion of these characters. To him Brooke is nothing more than sex and scandal... or a pathetic doormat. Ridge is nothing more than a chauvinist pig that needs to pit women against each other to feel like A MAN and Steffy is nothing more than her father's guard-dog. I don't even want to open my mouth about Hope. She is such a fiasco in my opinion... I will not suffer if they kill her off. Bradley pooped on her character and now it's too late to fix it. Annika is great and I would hate to see her go, but slutty Hope was not her thing. The vibe was missing.
    • I've seen Jason interact with Mitch and annoy him. That's as far as I recall. I didn't even have a slight idea that Evan had a vendetta against Rachel... That came as a surprise to me. I thought Evan was Iris's dog and that's it. Now he's definitely more interesting.
    • Thanks for these. I can't recall -- did Evan's vendetta have any position on Mitch, or was it all about Rachel? @Maxim have you seen any Frames intreracting with Mitch in any way?
    • Thank you for the tag! It's always a pleasure to see these little pearls of memories.
    • Uh-oh. Today just might’ve been the first Paula/Jeanne stinker. I have a feeling whose fault that might be though. So, Doug III is getting a job at the Pub?  It’s good to see him interact with other characters. I enjoyed his scenes with Roman, even though the talk of Frankie and Max seemed a little random. And it also could be really interesting now that Tate knows. Days really need to start pushing their rivalry again. We need some follow up from the punch. Tying it all to Holly, to Sophia’s pregnancy, to the guys that Doug III owes money to could be good.  But yeah, wayyy too much Leo again in today’s episode. Seriously, has anything changed with this nothing character? I thought it was all Ron’s fault, but maybe Greg Rikaart is (partially) responsible for Leo being so insufferable.  And yeah seriously, Rafe needs to throw all of these people out of his house. Including Gabi

But I do wonder who’s the mysterious voice that Gabi overheard with EJ on the night he was shot. Based on yesterday’s episode, I have a suspicion.
