I'll assume this is the thread. ;)

I enjoyed Monday's show a great deal. It was fun seeing Viki and Roxie together. David once again was great. It was one of those shows that was just fun to watch the conversations. It wouldn't work every day, but it's nice some of the time. The Marty/Miles story is getting the FF from me these days. Ghost Spencer is just weird.

WTF is Clint's problem? I felt so bad for David today, he was only there to comfort and give his support and Clint jumped down his throat. Jealous much? I loved that David was there for Viki, because Clint sure the hell isn't.

Really enjoyed the scenes between Carlotta, Cris and Adriana.

Man they ruined a great thing by getting rid of Randolph Mantooth, he's one good actor but I don't like the storyline, well if Tate succeeds in killing Adriana, then I might just change my mind. LOL.

I am REALLY enjoying Rex and Sarah, but they need to put Cris back into the mix because those three were a lot of fun to watch.

I like that David is Jessica's live donor. I like Viki and David being friends. I also like Jess and Nash a great deal and I'm glad the triangle from hell is over. I laughed about the 10 million dollars. In David's mind, Clint owes him that money.

I'm still mad about them destroying Miles

I already sense some changes on the show. I'm optimistic.

OK, I thought the Jess and Nash wedding was sweet. I'm very much enjoying Viki, David, Clint and Dorian. It shows that sometimes interaction makes for good soap.

I'm starting to like Vincent! He's not RJ, nor will he ever be. I don't see any reason why both of them can't be on the show. Today when he said he wanted that about whupping your ass, I cracked up. I like Layla a great deal.

Yes, I'm still made about Miles, and I don't watch Tate and Adrianna. I don't have to like everything on the show. Now there is something for me to watch.

    • I'm not sure I agree with Bernstein's children on that. Bernstein's life and activism here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Bernstein#Social_activism_and_humanitarian_efforts
    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
    • I said this on Twitter on Friday when Leslie mentioned Chicago, so perhaps she might be related to one of Anita's bandmates. In addition, Leslie did say she grew up listening to The Articulettes too.
    • There was a scene in the past week or two with Leslie looking at some papers and mementos, which included an invitation or souvenir from Alan's memorial service or funeral -- it was dated as November 2024. Me just guessing but it seems to me that Martin's nightmares about the accident are from something longer ago than November.
