He was perfectly fine rigging the amnio the other way for Sami the first time and didn't need anything for his trouble. But I guess this explains the career change that Nick gets at the end of the summer that was outlined in the summer preview. Neither are supposed to be brainless so this just does not make any sense at all except a lazy move to get from here to there without working it through. Ugh and double ugh.
