And, the first storyline I remember was DAYS Susan & David & Julie & poor baby Dickie. Denise as Susan was the STAR of that story. -

I get what you mean, but Mary Beth Evans was on DAYS yet never had a following at GH. Watros in particular had been out of any real daytime following for a long time, aside from her brief stint on Y&R. I suppose beyond the appeal of the actresses, it helps that they are often in conflict with characters a lot of vocal fans hate, which Dante is not. -
