Another good episode to start what I hope is a week that maintains solid momentum.

Now, in response to Drew H's post, I really hope Judi is contract. She is fantastic and the show could utilize her well. I just hope they explain more about where she has been and so on if she sticks around.

Now, about the episode. I want to thank Hogan and the writers for bringing back the solid character writing we were getting in the Fall. We are seeing more human sides of Philip and EJ and that was necessary and Lucas has his sparkle back.

The Sami/Lucas/EJ scenes were well-done. Lucas's reaction was spot on and I am so glad that the attempted murder plot was exposed so quickly and wasn't pushed under the rug. I liked Lucas's "Too bad you didn't kill him" line. The LUMI I love is back and that ending with them leaving and EJ following them...nice buildup.

JS is incredible. The dejection he had all over his face was heartbreaking. I felt for him. He actually beleived Sami when she said he was the father. I loved LUMI standing up to him and the scenes with him and Kate were very good. Him finally admiting his love for Sami and the way Kate kicked the door in and said "Bloody Hell"...priceless. I love LK but they need to give her more to do. She didn't even care about EJ forcing himself on Sami or the fact that Sami saved Lucas's life. I am worried about her character and her job because she is growing more and more expendible and I don't want her to go.

The Kayla/Adrienee scenes were nice. Judi and MBE always worked well together and Bonnie is nothing but a distant memory now. Her bringing the gun to Kayla and their whole talk was chilling. Nice buildup and I loved seeing Adrienne fear for her brother. Can't wait for Hope/Adrienne tomarrow.

The island stuff was nothing much but having Bo there makes a big difference. I am liking Gabby again but she is useless. Hopefully, Bisco finds a gig elsewhere. Belle's clue was lame but at least she was smart enough to leave one. Also, JKJ has toned it down alot and so have the writers and I appreciate that.

All in all, a solid episode and the roll continues.

Oh, and Ridge is 100% right. Days gave yet another sweeps to Ali Sweeney and the girl did it again. It seems everytime the show needs a boost or a spark to get going again it starts with her and here we are again. She is amazing and she is probably one of the most important people that is vital to this show's success. She is definitely the most marketable. Sweeps has been great so far and let's hope this is just the beginning of a great ride.

You think so?

I think that was just him pretending that he truly thought he was really the father of Sami's unborn child. In acting such a way, that gave him the chance to possibly get some sympathy out of Sami and Lucas. He knew the amnio report was falsified so he had to have known that Sami had no certain way of knowing whether he was the father or not, and rather that was just her telling him what he wanted to hear.

I thought that too Jinxed but then we had the scene with him alone where he flashed back to her telling him that and that she wanted the baby to be a Dimera. The way that scene was portrayed and the way EJ was sulking and so depressed showed me that internally he bought it. Maybe in his mind he didn't but in his heart he did. His heart was broken and I think Sami's words almost reassured him the baby was his and her saying she didn't know who the father was on top of her marrying Lucas when he was sure Lucas would dump her after learning the truth, basically took the wind out of his sails.

JS brought back EJ's magic today IMO. It's so good to see the human side of him, and Philip, again. It as necessary and was something lacking for most of this year.

My first hee haw of the show. And the phone service was messed up, too, remember.

Also, I loved seeing Philip deck the injured Shawn. He needed it badly long ago. Also, I'd love to see Philip, Belle and Shawn behave like rational adults with Claire's welfare the only concern.

Gabby is sharper than Shawn, it's too bad he has to leave his brains on the island. She can grasp and reason very well. I'll miss her. I'll miss Duck, too. He is an interesting character.

I frankly don't know a word Adrienne and Kayla said. I could scarcely stand to even look at either of them being as they don't interest me in the least. I cannot get drawn into this story at all.

Thankfully the New Orleans storyline is about to begin, and the teen's mystery.

Nope! It was supposed to happen on May 11. We got sh*t.

Lucas and Sami will probably be married 3 months before they air the wedding gifts. Remember the last time fans got to decide something on this show? I believe Bo and Hope's daughter ran aruond with he hideous name "Doodlebug" for 3 months.

I heard that the gifts were "scanned across" at the wedding from the camera... that's about as much as we got from it.

I also heard that the scenes were cut whenever Bryan Dattillo got sick during the taping of the wedding.

Every time I see EJ, Sami, and Lucas together in a scene these days I just get tired. I know it's the fault of the previous months' material and not now, but well, lack of good build-up has its ramifications, and I'm on my last legs with this storyline. Of course I bet they will milk the triangle for months to come. When I ask myself honestly, I don't care about a Brady-Dimera baby either.

I liked seeing Kayla and Adrienne, but it's just filler.

The island stuff moved along today which was good, I guess ... and yet this too should've happened ages ago.

I guess the bottom line is I'm not excited about anything! Which is sad!

    • I still say this is Frank's way of saying goddbye to JJ, who brought nothing to the show and was a complete dud for his entire return. He's purposelY been given an awful exit. Is this all Jackson's fault? Most likely not, but I place most of the blame on him. Too many contract demands, too much working around his travel schedule, too many stories he refused to do. GH has WAY too many actors calling the shots and influencing story and hires. We've seen it hurt the show time and time again.
    • Yeah, like others have said, Paul took it home for me today. We'd be so lucky to have him back for good.
    • I really like the scenes between Dani and Andre today.  Regardless of where this goes or who they end up with.  For now I appreciate that they have honesty with one another.  There's deep truth and vulnerability.  More than before.

date: Tuesday, June 10 | Gregori J. Martin, Cheryl L. Davis | Phideaux Xavier Andre and Dani continue to use each other for their own personal reasons. I mean, good for them, but the people they truly want to be with are not each other. Anita wanting the temporary passes revoked? Oh, I know that made Sharon mad as Hell. MAD! Tracy said, "Shut up! I'm in charge now!" Bill playing around with child bride, via Ashley... that was kind of cute, but I also kind of wish it were true. Sharon, sweetie, your ugliness continues to shine bright like the ugliest of cubic zirconia. And Tracy, your vulnerability is beautiful; this reunion means so much to you, and it's genuine. That's what I want to see. So, with Bill's right side affected, then his stroke was on the left side of his brain; interesting. Very interesting, and while it's nice that he is making significant improvements, more can and will be done. Rehab, huh? Will it be at-home rehab or at a facility? That's what I would like to know. I appreciate Sharon [finally] letting that ugliness fade and her truth begin to come out. That's beautiful. Vernon continues to be wise with his years and his wisdom, and his continued connections with his grandchildren, especially discussing the past (summer of '69) with Uncle Cornelius, I love this. This is what I enjoy seeing. Dani is catching onto Chelsea's crush on Madison, and I think she approves. So, Shanice was a physical therapist to start? Quite interesting. Wait, so Anita is leaving town? Why do I suspect she's going to come home to some messes she'll have to clean up? Notes: I've loved the muted, neutral tones that Tamara Tunie (Anita) has been wearing throughout, but then we get moments like today where she wears this vibrant pop of colour, and I'm fully in love. Karla Mosley (Dani) continues to shine in her facial expressions when Marquita Goings' Hayley is talking nonsense. She embodies Dani from head to toe, eye roll and all. Tunie and Clifton Davis (Vernon) shine together; it's a natural, old-school kind of chemistry they share as a couple.
    • Maybe Vetsoapfan will chime in. He might know.
    • Yeah, I'm thinking that, too. It certainly would be one way to deflect from the embarrassment of being fired early in your contract.
    • I was hoping Dani/Andre would get caught in the most awkward way possible. lol.  Shanice is now a PT. Umm...okay. Glad they are keeping her in the mix.  Anita going to Chicago. Is this a way to have TT offscreen for some reason?
    • Andrea Evans was not on the show at this time.  A part of me does wonder if this type of story is just thrown in for juicy gossip and didn't really happen.
    • No, it couldn't have been her. She left early 1983 (with an actor who would become her husband, and still is, as far as I know). Other names from the era would be Shelly Burch (Delilah), Brynn Thayer (Jenny), and Andrea Evans (Tina). But I doubt any of these were powerful enough to push the eject button on another actress.
