I really like Kate/Connie. She's such a classic soap character, and it's refreshing to see Sonny in a new storyline. It WOULD be interesting for Logan to turn out to be their son, which I never thought of before, but I hope Kate ends up with someone else romantically... Ric, perhaps?

There is no way that Sonny and Kate are the same age. Are you kidding me? She looks 30 at the most and he is in his mid 40s. They look like they have about a 15 yr age difference between them, yet they shared a past as teenagers? Huh???

Quick question: what does this man do all day long?

th_robert_guza_jr_01.jpg

Because it certainly is not writing a daytime soap. Guza's not even a Hack, because "hack" implies he'd actually have to be hacking at his keyboard, doing some work. Instead, he's a trifling, plagiaristic blowhard without a single original idea to his name. What's he doing, sitting around styling his toupée while watching DVDs?

The producers of "Friends" should sue Guza's lazy ass for lifting almost an entire scenic concept from the show -- the one where Monica got stung by a jellyfish and had to get peed on to stop the pain. Sound familiar? Admittedly, if any character deserves to get peed on, it's that shrew Carly. But good LORD. If I wanted to watch that scene again, I'd do a search on YouTube.

Then we have GH's newest newbie on contract, Kate Howard. Why write for any of the existing characters, you have when you can just copy "The Devil Wears Prada" wholesale and have some young blonde woman on GH regurgitate La Streep's icy dialogue?

P.S.: I'd actually like Kate Howard if ( a ) Ugly Betty hadn't got there first with Vanessa Williams' Wilhemina, and ( b ) Kate wasn't yet another female inside which Sonny had once stuck his penis. Geez. The Midget Mobster makes Paris Hilton look like Pope Benedict XIV.

Don't even mention that "Departed" SL. Obviously, Scorsese is hardly going to sue since he stole the idea of the movie from the Hong Kong film "Infernal Affairs." At least Scorsese paid the HK film-makers for the rights.

so... i actually may like this sonny & kate thing. i like kate so far and like the backstory. plus the actress can act, and even makes MB seem okay. that in itself deserves an emmy! and shes kinda hot.

maxie/coop.. finnaly something with these two! i love them. i cant wait to see more of this storyline. and i dont care if its a rip off of ther deprated because that riped something that riped something that riped something else off.

i also love the liz jason lucky baby stuff.

and i dont mind the scrubs/nem/jerry storyline at all.

right, because no other show or movie before friends ever did anything like that?

and ugly betty didnt rip off devil/prada? and its not like devil wears prada was an original concept in itself

and again, infernal affairs was the first of its kind? i think not.

Of course soaps rip-off other stuff, but Guza's rip-off is so lazy and transparent. I can understand a SL like The Departed in the context of police/mob on one level, but can they really recereate the physical action and excitement within a budget-strapped, studio-bound soap?

As for Devil Wears Prada, the reason I mentioned Ugly Betty is because UB have already covered that ground in detail. And better.

The Friends thing was lazy. The CarJax honeymoon was reduced to a rip-off of a scene that more than 70% of the US population connect with Friends. Guza has not one original idea. Not one! Except maybe Click-Boom and, God knows, he's been milking that montage ever since.

Meanwhile, isn't Night Shift supposed to be Grey's Anatomy for GH viewers that would rather watch a pale, mob-infested imitation rather than the real thing?

LOL, I wish his beard wife were writing the show. Meg Bennett did wonders with Sunset Beach and B&B at one time.

Steve Burton got peed on stung by a jellyfish during his honeymoon? How come he doesn't get that ground-breaking SL? LOL, cue Sam unzipping her jeans...

    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!
