Members Josh
Hal & Barbara were heavily featured during Hogan's run, I'll admit that! And yes my beloved Benji did win his Emmy during the Spa storyline (Which is a whole other topic). The character of Craig is a vet, but I think what makes a vet a vet is the actor/actress we grew up watching. Now that Scott Bryce is back yes he's a vet as is Craig! Lily actually won her Emmy for her work in 2000 and not sure if it was Hogan's work however, could have been! Might not...and the character featured mostly was Rose, again new character, vet actress, in my opinion not a real veteran. Fans liked the Margo/Jessica/Tom storyline but it wasn't true to character. It ruined Margo's character again because she would not have cheated on Tom I don't think and it ruined the beautiful longtime friendship that was Jessica and Margo... Members PhoenixRising05
And why is is transition after transition? Because the fans are too fickle and the damn rabid fanbases whine and pout all the time. The Days HW job is like hell on earth. It's always "I want my couple happy." Then the couple gets a story and the response is "Well, I don't want them fighting or broken up. I'm not watching." That's all the show gets. Then you have people around the net who say "Why is Billie interacting with Bo?" Well, maybe it's because they have a kid damnit!! That is the problem. The fans can't make up their mind and, therefore, the show and it's writers never know where to go. They constantly cater to the fanbases and fickle fans and have to change gears all the time because fans complain. Then you have a EP who doesn't know the meaning of STAY OUT OF IT. That is why the show has lost it's ratings and why it has undergone so many writing changes. No show has to deal with this like days nad it's truly pathetic. Some see it as excuses and I see it as fact. The biggest problem the show has it the majority of it's fans (not on SON, elsewhere). That has been the problem since 1997 and will continue to be the problem. As for Philip, I completely disagree but to each their own.
Members Actor87
No. All I'm saying is that he's not going to feature them as much as he does other pointless characters such as Nick and Chelsea. He's just going to feature them when it's time to "prop". And I believe that, my friend, is what YOU are refusing to hear.
Members DrewH
Since when are Nick and Chelesa pointless characters? They're realated to two of the core families. I would highly call them pointless characters.

Members KLN
Bo, Hope, John and Marlena have been backburnered. We haven't seen Pop Shawn in the longest time, and it's been a while since we saw Caroline, too. Victor disappeared after Phillip came back. He writes alot for Sami, Lucas and Kate, though! Truth be told, even though I like Caroline and Shawn, I wouldn't die without them. Same with Victor. All the rest of the vets, I want to see regularly, and I'm not. Hopefully that'll change, and the promises that have been made aren't empty. I'm also hoping that Hogan isn't being FORCED to write for the vets, but that he WANTS to write for them. I mean, if he's being forced... how good can the stories be if he's writing them begrudgingly?
Members Actor87
Pointless to me.
Members DrewH
I get what you mean, Kenny. Who wants to be forced to write for characters? Nothing good can come out of that. Look at Melaswen, when, IMO, Reilly was forced to bring back the dead characters.
Members DrewH
And that's fine, Dusty. They're not pointless to me. They're not pointless to a large percentage of the DAYS audience. But you are the only person that you should care about. Good job.
Members PhoenixRising05
Apply that point to Days and it's stories since January and you have the reason why the show is in the toilet. THANK YOU KEN CORDAY!!
Members Actor87
Martha Byrne won her Emmy in 2001 for her work in 2000 as an infuriated Lily confronted a scheming Rose and blamed her for the grief she had caused Lily's household while pretending to be Li'Snyder. That was when Hogie first came on. Gotta love some Martha. :D
Members Josh
I will say that Hogan has made Chelsea a lot better than she was a year ago! So brava for that...really. I'm not joking I really think he's brought the character into a far better place. Nick to me, while he is a cutie-pie...semi-pointless. LOL
Members DrewH
Oh yeah, Josh, I agree with you on Nick. He's a Horton, so he has a place on the show. However, Jeremy could've easily been brought on in the first place in Nick's place.
Members KLN
Believe me, I'm not a fickle fan. It takes alot to really piss me off, because I'm very much a 'general' fan of the show. I don't watch for one character or couple -- I watch for them all. All I ask for is balance. I know that the fickle fans exist, because they annoy me just as much as they do you when the show is great and they're still whining over something idiotic. However, their existance doesn't mean that we should let the writers off the hook when the show really is suffering in one way or another. I mean, I'm not dreaming that there are issues... the ratings are at 1.9! That says it all. Balance needs to be restored. Even you've said it! And that's all I'm saying. Well, that, and Phillip sucks. And I know I've said it before, but I can't say it enough... FIVE MONTHS IS LONG ENOUGH TO DEVELOP A CHARACTER. How much frickin' time is needed!? Phillip IS developed all he's going to be-- he's a bad guy. And a lame one. He sucks, he's a prop, and needs to go. Why is it okay for everyone to criticize Willow so quickly, but me criticizing Phillip isn't? If I weren't a Willow hater myself, I'd totally toss back in everyone's face, "Willow's in a transitional phase... you need to give her AT LEAST a year to develop... THEN develop an opinion!" Because that's exactly what I'm being told, and if I said the same to you about Willow or any other character you hate, I'm assuming you wouldn't agree. The bridge travels two ways, y'know. Then again, you're the Days pollyanna, so it's doubtful you dislike ANY character, LoL. I've noticed you looooving a writer's material until a year later, you say, "That sucked. Thank God the show's great now!" Then a year from THEN, you do the same thing... "it sucked a year ago. NOW it's great!" You seem to love anything at whatever given moment, so long as it happens on Days. I'm a Days fan, damn it, and I want it to be the best it can be. I'm not going to eat up bullsh!t if I know they can do better! Phew.
Members Actor87
See? I don't appreciate that. No matter how many smileys you put after something, the words always tend to carry the same tone in which you meant them to presented. And I took that very offensively. As if, you're suggesting that just because I don't conform to other DAYS viewers' beliefs that I should be making apologies for my opposing beliefs.
