Finally the Kate storyline is heating up again - Greg Madden is the doctor! We also have this nurses strike beginning at the hospital...which is very interesting. I love how Joe is on today in full capacity, in scenes with Julia and Josh. I don't think we've had Julia/Josh/Joe since the summer!

The trial so far is great....quite entertaining actually with lots of characters involved. I'm really drawn into Hannah for some reason - I loved her scenes with Kendall. Her words were a little haunting....

Good Kystal/Adam scenes IMO. Good acting as always.

I really liked that Sean/Colby scene in the beginning too as they looked over Jenny.

The Adam/Krystal scenes were brief but intense. Unlike Babe, Krystal has the smarts to know when a man does not want her and isn't groveling for forgiveness. But I was cheering Adam on as he berated her mothering skills. Pine Valley doesn't need another Babe.

The Babe/Kendall handholding was effective for me. I much prefer the piglet in a supporting role as oppossed to the show's focus.

I thought Del's outburst was poorly acted but it was better than Jonathan's incessant hypocrisy.

WOW - how powerful and emotional that middle scene of the trial was - with the black and white flashbacks to all the murders and violent acts that Alex Sr. committed. Reliving Dixie's death was heartbreaking - but the execution of these flashbacks were amazing. Kudos to the NEW writers for giving us a great ending to this whole Satin Slayer/ACS storyline.

Joe and Adam scenes! This is just great. Vets are being used - the character balance is so improved. AMC is back!

I agree - I really enjoyed his scenes with Bianca last Friday too. He is much better outside Babe's orbit - and Colin has impressed me lately by just feeling more comfortable in his role. It really showed through Friday's episode for me.

Wow - that Adam/Amanda scene was pretty powerful too. That was definitely the old threatening Adam coming through as he scared Amanda. Chrishell has the upset/confused/torn face down! I love how we're getting Amanda in this storyline. The new writers are doing a great job of bringing these underutilized characters into the storylines. I love it.

YES!!! We just got a Natalie in the well reference! I love the history we've gotten in today's show - with Liza reference, Natalie/Janet/Well reference, the black and white flashbacks! :)

That ending was great! I can't wait to see tomorrow...

Speaking of tomorrow - we didn't see tomorrow's previews - but we saw an AMC promo of what's to come! I loved it - showing how Janet is going to be Jenny's caretaker.... ;)

Today's show is really good. There is such a good balance to the show and charaters that are usually shoved down our throats aren't right now.

Ok, I'm confussed. Zach said in the courtroom that Raymond was his father but in teh hall when Babe or Annie asked him was it true what he said, he was like "no" and then one of them said "you're nothing like him." So..did Zach just say that to try and coax a reaction out of Alex Sr.?

Exactly - Zach was trying to get ACS to come out of his insanity act by saying he isn't his son. It didn't work. So Babe asked if he was telling the truth - and Zach said no...which lead Babe to try and comfort him by saiying "You're nothing like him..." as in "Don't worry, it'll be ok." It was a good tactic by Zach, but didn't work. :( The ending with that gun though - could be a little foreshadowing!

Chip Hayes, Amanda L. Beall and Karen Lewis were the writers for today.

So how do I credit this?

Hayes and Beall and both breakdown writers or Beall and Lewis has both script writers?

Damn, why are some of these episodes having three writers? Are some episodes being rewritten?

pretty good show. I loved the use of hte flashbacks. That was very well done. One complaint though is that yet again Tad is reminsicing about Simone. Couldnt they have Kendall or someone else do that? I really wish Dixie was the one that we saw on Tad's mind

    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!
