Had a feeling it was her, but this was still a LAME plot twist.

I'm SO over David Kreizman. Homeboy needs to be replaced.

Indeed, what a lame twist... I started to like the character, and I'm still somewhat surprised she is the shooter. Hasn't she signed a contract recently? And does that mean they won't get rid of her soon?

ITA with Josh. Kreizman does not know pacing. It's kind of ridiculous, in fact. I don't know why Ellen Wheeler, who should know better, is letting this happen.

Ashley is a horrible actress. Or her dialogue sucks. Or they're letting her improv too much. I think she said "I DON'T KNOW" about 8 times in her little monologue today!

It's both.

Caitlin VanZandt is GL's answer to ALL THAT'S Lori Beth Denberg. They both play "token fat chick." GL initially hired her for this reason and this reason only. To show Lizzie being mean to the fat girl, similar to Jen and Marcie on OLTL when Marcie first arrived. Difference is that Kathy Brier rose above the material and gave great performances. VanZandt is still playing that comedic token angle.

And I don't really have a problem with VanZandt on GL or her appearance. It just seems, to me, like this is all forced and a way for TPTB to add "diversity" to their show. Only problem is that they are making her into a caricature instead of clearly addressing what makes her different from everyone else on the canvas and they should have done that the moment she arrived.

It seems like there's an undertone or subtext of that in the dialogue, but it is never fully addressed.

math looks very promising...

I think the reveal will bring Alan closer to his stepdaughter despite his lack of interest in that family. Alan's subconscious was very telling. He told Ash that he would never love or accept her. I believe he will fight it, but they will become close. Imagine Ashley trying to get Alan's approval as she tries to stay out of his way. Alan's divorce is right around the corner.

I look forward to this story.

I was totally shocked. I love it when a soap can surprise me.

After my shock of her being the shooter..

My next thought was..

THAT GIRL IS A SPAULDING!!!

Come on...

She shoots Alan..we don't have a clue. She goes on as if life is ok. She's happy and anticipatory about her birthday party.

This girl is a Spaulding in the making, and that was her initiation right.

I don't care HOW they do it. Whose long lost child she winds up being (cause Doris can't be her biological mother anymore)...

Make her a Spaulding.

I swear Alan already respects her for plugging him.

Ashlee Spaulding!!! YES YES YES

They can find a way to kill off Doris and blame her for it too. ...but, Ashley needs to be someone's long lost daughter.

Sip, I absolutely love this post! It is so true! Alan has more respect for this girl now than he has any of his children, and he will learn to love her...

But I am a bit confused, why should Doris no longer be her mother? Do you think her mother should now be someone nice because Ashlee is changing?

I'm just not feeling Doris. Not the character, nor the actress. I'm not seeing where she fits in the Spaulding clan. And since they won't leave Ashley there without Doris...Doris has to go.
