Discuss!!!!

So far 2/26, I really enjoyed the scenes between Beth and Doris, the mouths on the two of them!! I figured Beth would say she is pregnant, and I really thought the scenes between Beth & Lizzie were entertaining, with each of them saying they would do ANYTHING to protect the other.

Another bonus: Mallet actually looked good today.

Hopefully it will be another good week on GL!!!!

I'm so sad that they are going full steam ahead with an A-M/Ava romance. :(

I agree that the verbal assaults Beth & Doris were giving each other the other day were hilarious.

Loved the last scene from yesterday's show where A-M wanted to "cut the crap and be honest" and that if it turned out that either Beth or Lizzie shot Alan, that he'd protect them.

I can't believe that they'd quickly make Philip a non-suspect. Yeah, I know Aleksander's not around but I think he should be among the rest who are at the top of the list!

I really like GL right now. I hate that Beth is trying to hold on to Alan though. What I wouldn't do to see her cut those dysfunctional ties once and for all.

I love Ashlee and Doris. They are both some much needed comic relief.

I hate Daisy. Hate her. I think it's the actress more than the character though.

I think I'm on Thursday's show right now. I'm so behind on all my shows. I'm watching the episode where Josh proposed to Cassie. I have to say I love those two. I wish the show would run with it. I loved where Cassie said she doesn't get forever and Josh said from now on she does. I wish that were true, but I have my doubts.

I love that Coop walked away from Ava too. Run Coop run and do not look back. I like that nurse he had the date with. I wish he'd keep seeing her. Screw Ava or better yet, let AM do it.

Nooooo!!!!! I despise the A-M/Ava pairing beyond words! I was going through old GL episodes and came across some scenes with Dinah & A-M. Comparing those scenes to the scenes we get with A-M & Ava now...it's safe to say that TPTB are BLIND. Gina Tognoni & Michael Dempsey are so entertaining to watch together.

I haven't watched two weeks worth of GL except for Monday's last week so I'm really far behind. I heard about Josh & Cassie getting engaged. I like them, too..actually, I like Cassie more than I like Josh so if he ends up ditching her for another reunion with Reva, then I won't be too bummed. I just don't hate them the way 75% of GL fans seem to. <_<

Oh, I don't mean AM should "screw Ava" as in be with her. I mean he should go all Spaulding on her and screw her over as seems inevitable at this point. He's already manipulating her and she deserves it right now for how she's treated Coop. Coop isn't always my favorite, but he deserves far better. Thank god he woke up.

I'm going to be so bummbed if the show goes back to Jeva. I supposed I'd better prepare myself. Reva doesn't say "always Bud" for nothing. But Cash is a really sweet couple and I wish the show would really give them a chance instead of just going back to Jeva sim,ply because that's what they've always done. I'd rather see both Reva and Jash in a new relationship for a couple of years. Then get them back together if they must.

    • All the time they spent trying to make viewers feel sorry for Chad only for him to not even last that long. I wonder if they knew Richard Burgi was going so quickly. You're right about Josie replacing Cheryl. On paper, this should have made sense, given all the ties Josie had to the canvas, but I did prefer Cheryl. There was something very synthetic about Alexandra Wilson.  I suppose even if she did have some fans they were just so used to getting rid of people left and right, so she was more collateral damage. As you said above I do wonder what the plans were for Peggy Lazarus. I think AWHP mentioned her once telling Peter that Peggy Lazarus wasn't her real name. Maybe she would have been another Carl moll... Rebecca Hollen never did get her due in her soap roles.
    • So true...Hackney might have had a story on FC with Richard being an old lover of his, but reveals herself to be a Cartel member and blackmails Richard with something into doing her dirty work  LOL. But of course Richard had his hands full with the double trouble sisters Ms. Jones and Ms. Braxton that season.

    • Cat herself will be a stumbling block all her own as she vowed to Chad to stay away from him, thus redeeming her of her crime morally. Classic DAYS would have them gazing longingly at each other at Doug's Place or Blondie's, while Liz is serenading the room with a song aptly chosen to represent their feelings of emotional turmoil.
    • From what I just recently watched, they were setting her up to go into future stories. She was Emmy nomination worthy in the material I saw. If some viewers did not like her, the character could have been rehabilitated after that sick storyline. It feels like they destroyed a character for fun and then tossed her to the curb. Spencer had chemistry with everyone. I'm just retroactively angry on Spencer's behalf.  You're right about how Cheryl was often forgotten and pushed aside and I would take Cheryl over Josie. I think soaps need characters like Cheryl. Characters like Josie are way too common. Josie always got on my nerves.
    • CBS was back in third place in 1994/95. That was the season CBS lost NFL broadcasting rights which also cost them several established affiliates in major media markets. 1995 CBS was sold to Westinghouse and Les Moonves arrived. 1995/96 CBS was trying to be young and cool to compete with NBC and Fox, but it was an epic failure and CBS was once again in third place.
    • I tend to think that Chad will actually listen to Jen (this time). And that will be the next stumbling block in their relationship, which will open the possibilities for Cat to seek another member of their love triangle... To iterate my earlier thought, I am also not a fan of the person Melissa Reeves, but the character of Jennifer looks so chic this week, especially in comparison to Hope (and Gabi).  That blunt haircut is a winner.
    • I think Cheryl was essentially replaced by Josie, and it seems likely that Lemay wanted to bring the Frames back into the picture and for a variety of reasons that it would be McKinnons who would make way for them. Cheryl didn't really get many layers -- she was pretty and kind and sweet and faded into the background so that Scott could participate in the AIDS storyline with Dawn. Looking at the AWHP, other than (not very) shockingly being in love with her mother's adopted son Scott, Cheryl apparently went out with Sam and flirted with much-too-old-for-her John Hudson and MJ's ex-boyfriend/pimp Chad. I know MJ told Mary that she had been a prostitute, but did she tell Cheryl and did she tell anyone about Chad's pimping?
    • I feel the same way about Melissa Reeves' Jennifer. She just makes the show feel like home by her presence alone. I am perfectly okay with them coming in every once and awhile, which probably fits Reeves' schedule better anyway. Their connections to Salem are still there: JJ, the grandkids, Jack still owning half of The Spectator ... they're perfect recurring characters. All this talk of Jennifer being in the wrong regarding Cat is absurd. Jennifer is not being villainized in any way, shape, or form, she's just being allowed to actually be human, which adds odds to the obstacle of Chad and Cat eventually getting together. All inner conflict. Keep it coming!
    • Hahaha. Jean Hackney, Angelica Nero, and the Falcon Crest henchwomen were all straight out of a James Bond movie.
    • My hunch is what you've described. JFP is likely back working on transitioning the show to a new studio and embracing new technology for its production model.
