He's whoever the current headwriter wants him to be, because no one has the balls to truly define the character.

He's all those things and then some. He's the son of Shawn Brady and Daphne DiMera, for starters.

Well, it was hinted that he's Shawn's, but only know he's Daphne's and that she gave him to her sister Philomina's (who married Alamain), who adopted him as Forrest. For all we know, DrewH might be onto something and Stefano and Daphne might have a biological child

What an amazing coincidence that "The Pawn" chose the name John Black in 1986, only to discover in 1994 that he was once known as a priest named Father John Black! Must've been ESP or something. ;)

Well, it was revealed in flashback that John was sent into the Vietnam War by Stefano, so that explains why he recognized the name when he saw it as the Pawn. And it was also revealed during the Gina story that Stefano brainwashed John into thinking he was Father John after his mission in Vietnam ended so he could help Gina steal paintings.

But I agree, John should've made the connection that Father John and the Vietnam War John were connected.

If they don't reveal that John is the real Roman, I feel they will make John a biological Brady. I'd like that.

They'll neve rmake him a biological Brady. Corday loves his Shelle too much.

But Bo's not a biological Brady, so it's not incest if John's the son of Shawn Sr.

I guess so. It's still too damn close, though. Incest by marriage (Caroline).

John is Stefano's son. Mark my words. ;)

If Reilly were still writing and needed a good shocker, he'd make John a former lover of Stefano's.

It's no worse than Chelsea/Max/Stephanie.

Plus, Belle and Shawn didn't grow up thinking they were cousins.

Plus, GL had real cousins get married.

Plus, Passions had Chad and Whitney have sex even after learning they were siblings. (It was later discovered they were actually adoptive cousins, for those of you who don't watch)

I want John to be Roman, but Corday does love Shelle too much. And yes it would be incest because Roman and Bo are biologically related through Caroline.
