I was just wondering if anyone knows when GL contract expires this year. I thought we should have heard by now on where it stands and I don't know how much longer I can stand the wait....

I am not sure. I was thinking we usually heard about it and ATWT at the same time. I have seen the rumors several place that ATWT has been given a years extension instead of the 2 we had hoped for. Nothing confirmed - just the rumor.

But so far nothing on GL - so hopefully we will hear soon.

GL is under contract through the 2006-2007 season, which means the show's contract expires at the end of August.

Rumors typically start up in March, and the final decision in May. In 2005, the last time renewal came up, CBS announced their decision on May 10th.

Thank you both very much. GL has been so good lately that I really want it too continue and I was getting a little nervous since we hadn't heard anything.

I wonder if GL is safer considering they've been holding steady for the past couple years now, even under such financial strains, while ATWT is slowly slipping down into GL's rating territory. If nothing else, ATWT will surely suffer massive budget cuts soon.
