February 15, 200718 yr Member http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-h...p&type=lgns He should never have opened his mouth to begin with. I guess they asked him this question in light of the first NBA player coming out of the closet. Its people like him that makes gay men in sports keep quiet about their sexuality.
February 15, 200718 yr Member I saw this on the Today show. Anne Curry cracked up laughing because he was so belligerent.
February 15, 200718 yr Member The funny thing is... it's more than likely he's played with gay players during his career.
February 15, 200718 yr Member What the a prick. We know he doesn't regret anything. Go to hell. Exactly, I hate how those in the media think an abrupt apology is all that is needed. Like anyone actually believes that apology. The funny thing is... it's more than likely he's played with gay players during his career. He said in his interview he has known some players who were gay, but I don't know if he meant teammates of his or just knew of other gay players in the league. I just wish for once a prominent gay athlete would come out of the closet. Channeling Mike Piazza.....
February 15, 200718 yr Member There are definitely gay male athletes, I know this from personal experience. I could out some of the baseball team here.......
February 15, 200718 yr Member There are definitely gay male athletes, I know this from personal experience. I could out some of the baseball team here....... Go ahead. We won' tell.
February 15, 200718 yr Member Go ahead. We won' tell. Well I am sure college basbeall players arent well known, maybe if one of them becomes an All Star in the majors one day I could write a tell all book. I am a firm believer in karma, so I won't out anyone if they don't want to be. I don't know how many people I have told to keep it hush hush for me, so I just don't tell other people's business.
February 15, 200718 yr Member Sure, he regrets saying it. Who wouldn't? Still, that doesn't mean that he feels any differently than he did before. He just regrets letting the whole world know. Dumbass.
February 15, 200718 yr Author Member I want everyone's opinion on this, should athletes come out or should they keep quiet? I personally think they should come out, if someone has a problem with it that their problem. But on the otherhand, he might get ostersized by his teammates and have to deal with very unaccepting fans all around the U.S and their safety might be at stake. I just don't know.
