ATWT: Do they ever mention that Emily is Allison's mother?

I was reading up on the Stewart's at Soap Central and was surprised to hear that Emily is Allison's biological mother. Apparently Susan's eggs were rotten so Emily donated an egg which was implanted into Susan. The bio also said that Emily wanted to be her mother but I guess things were worked out.

Do they ever mention this since Allison became an adult? All i remember is seeing them as sisters. Wouldn't be surprised if them mention it more often now that Susan is an extra and Emily is constantly being propped.

BTW, how is Ellen related to Emily and Susan? I like her in the few episodes I've seen her in.

Lol, I wouldn't say "rotten" but yes, they were bad.

No, they don't acknowledge the fact that Emily is her mother.

Back when Jessica Dunphy first came on as Allison - they did tell her and there was a scene where I think Emily was the one who told her. It was very well done. I don't remember too much of a mention of it after that.

Ellen is Emily's grandmother and Susan's mother-in-law. Susan was married to Dan Stewart who is Ellen's son by Dr. Tim Cole. She gave him up for adoption and he was adopted by David Stewart. Dan's true love was Kim which was the start of the Kim-Susan rivalry.

Here is a breif summary of Allison's early story from SoapCentral. It talks about why Allison was told the truth:

Alison Stewart's birth was unconventional to say the least. When the middle aged Susan Stewart regretted the fact that she couldn't give her younger husband, Larry, a child, her daughter Emily volunteered to donate an egg which would be fertilized and implanted into Susan. The procedure was a success and Alison was born. Though Emily wanted to be more of a mother to Alison, Susan reminded her that Alison was to be raised as her daughter. After her parents' divorce when she was still a toddler, Alison was raised by Susan.

Though Susan tried to be an attentive mother to Alison, her career kept her busy and Alison spent many hours alone. Because of this lack of supervision, Alison grew up with a major selfish streak. By the time she was a teenager, Alison's life revolved around herself and what she wanted. And the one thing she definitely wanted at the age of 16 was Aaron Snyder. Unfortunately for Alison, Aaron wasn't interested in her; he was interested in Lucy Montgomery. Not one to let that stop her, Alison decided that she'd do whatever it took to make Aaron hers. Alison didn't really keep her manipulative nature a secret however and she was confronted by her sister, Emily. Resentful of Emily's well-meaning advice to forget about Aaron, Alison rejected Emily's friendship and decided to break up Aaron and Lucy by getting Lucy in trouble with her father, who disapproved of the relationship, by snapping photos of Lucy on Aaron's motorcycle. Though she tried to be clever and sneaky, the couple figured out that Alison was responsible and confronted. Feigning regret, Alison begged the pair to forgive her and made an effort to help them in their quest to be together. At the same time, Emily decided it was finally time that Alison learn the truth about her parentage and revealed that she was her real mother. Shocked, Alison rebelled against both Susan and Emily. Angry and confused, Alison found a friend in Aaron.

Yeah. They did mention it, and the scenes were phenomenal..like Steve said.

But I do believe it was mentioned every once in a while after the big revelation.

And it's weird b/c I just completely remembered something I had kept tucked away in my memory box..:P...When I was little, one of the first scenes of ATWT that I remember is Susan getting rushed into Memorial and someone talking about doing surgery on the baby (Allison). Something about a needle and a heart and Susan might make it through, might not.

Wow. That was weird.

The last time I remember them talking about it was right after Emily found out she was pregnant with Jenny. At that point, Paul wanted her to have an abortion (of course he later changed his mind) but Emily, who at first had agreed, had changed her mind and decided to have the baby. Thinking she was going to jail for everything she'd done, she asked Susan to raise the baby, and they talked about what Emily had done for her re Ali.
