The moral of the story is he didn't lock the door, yet he clearly planned to do more than sleep with her.

See, I didn't get that impression - they were just talking and flirting - and kissing a little - but I never saw any intention or hint of actual sex.

And again, I wouldn't think to lock my door...

I have to agree with you. Kathy barely knows these people. They aren't really her parents yet. There was really nothing wrong with the scene, except imagining her coming 10 mins later and seeing them going at it for real.

Thank you. Ten minutes later -- and all because JamASS didn't lock the door -- and little Kathy could very easily be traumatized.

Though there are other issues we could debate concerning this incident, I'm most incensed about his not locking the door.

I doubt it was TRAUMATIZE her.

She probably wouldn't understand - and she wouldn't have seen anything with all those covers.

But again - I don't even believe they were going to have sex 10 minutes later anyway.

With any man, kissing should always lead to sex, lol. No man wants to just kiss. Please.

That said, I don't know your reasons for not locking the door, but I'm a firm believer in (and frequently participate in) locking the door. For whatever. Who wants anyone to barge in on them? If there is a roommate or a child or another person living in the house, I'd think that was the obvious thing to do, personally.

I'm not at all conservative, but I just think when you are about to do it, you lock the door when there is a little kid in the house then unlock it when you're finished, it's not that hard.. The first time she walked in, I understood because they are inexperience with kids. The second time the thought running through my head was "are you stupid??".

He's a man...without his shirt on...I can't, in good conscience, believe he kissed her for no reason. It's on EVERY guy's mind. If she let him, he would. And he would have been screwed because of that unlocked door.

THANK YOU, Julia.

The first time, I could let it slide.

But the SECOND time? I'm not gonna lie, I cursed at my screen.

It would make sense to lock a door only if you were already planning on having sex as you were going to the bedroom.

But they weren't planning on having sex.

LOL - I can't believe you assume that with all guys kissing will ALWAYS lead to sex. That is far from true!

Exactly! The whole point of concern is the possibility that little kathy cold be "coming 10 mins later" into the bedroom, right when Jamlia are "coming" themselves! And frankly, that image sickens me. <_<

His shirt was off.

That makes it different.

LOL - I'm over this debate. I'm pretty sure Jamie's gray shirt was on the second time Kathy came in...and I'm pretty sure they didn't start kissing bc Jamie had nothing else but SEX on his mind.

They were talking and being sweet to each other, so Jamie moved towards her face to kiss her a couple of times. There was no indication that sex would follow.

JMHO!

Anyway it was a nice relationship-episode that was character-driven and not Satin Slayer-plot-driven. Nice break. OH and I can't wait for b!tchy Erica tomorrow...

I cut AMC a break here to an extent because it was obviously they were going for the cute factor. Showing Jamie and Julia are in for a huge change and that Jamie seems up to the challenge. He seemed frustrated the second time she came in, but he wasn't a jerk about it. Still, I was rolling my eyes a little.

LMAO! So wait, everytime a guy goes to bed without his shirt on - that means he intends on having sex???? NO WAY!

And his GRAY SHIRT was on today!
