Yeah, but if you're putting any effort into it at all, you're able to give the viewers intricate clues without completely giving it away... or contradicting yourself.

I'll lay down $100 to say that whoever Chad's mystery lover is, he'll be shown across town doing other stuff while he's supposed to be in bed with Chad. After the reveal, everyone will be like, "Wait... that doesn't make sense, because when Chad was supposedly in bed with him, we saw him on the other side of town with so-and-so."

That's not an attempt at throwing viewers off track. It's bad writing, LoL

Harmony is a small town. Harmony is a magical small town. Harmony is a magical small town and Chad is super-quick in bed, hence Lover (and, later on, Peeper- cause we know that won't make sense either) can be everywhere at once.

Or...events in Harmony, while perhaps shown in the same episode, are not intended to suggest simultaneity.

Or...evil twin! No wait- Passions doesn't use that. Masks! It was someone else in disguise!

Or, y'know, Passions could just go big and make Chad a total ho, so he's got a half dozen lovers out there.

There's no fancy excuse for bad writing. A plot hole is a plot hole no matter how it's painted over.

If daytime had a stronger base of African-American males I would support this. But as it stands they're all either thugs or non-characters. If Passions alone hadn't made the one other black guy the Angry Black Male I would be behind this but no, I can't get behind this story. Not on this show, not at this time.

At the end of the day, the show is still canceled so I don't even know why I bother.

Well, then damn that darn Jaresa fanbase, which I was A PART OF, lol. Because somehow, somewhere along the line, Jared became a legitimate companion for Theresa -- and plus, the "Tess" thing was just too cute for words -- and that's why JER backed out of making Jared go "Brokeback."

Being on the DL is not progressive thinking, it's backwards and portrays AA males in a negative light. Passions, of all shows, doesn't have the track record or the creativity or the intelligence to portray this with the depth and seriousness it should be handled. There are a handful of black males on daytime TV, half of them are thugs or former thugs and treated like crap by their respective towns, the others are glorified extras. If I could point to one other positive example of a black male on Passions I would have less issues with this.

The idea that the man who has had a rape victim repeatedly attacked almost daily since her rape can do this with any sensitivity is laughable.

You "bother" to piss us off. You keep bringing up the "canceled" thing to insult us and/or hurt us. THe point is, IT'S WRONG to do that. So stop it. We're enjoying the show, we're enjoying the twists, and IT AIN'T OVER YET.
